Did you make sure you resynced the mouse and/or keyboard to the wireless receiver. usually you do this by holding down the button on the receiver until the light starts flashing then you press the button on the bottom of the mouse/keyboard until the flashin stops or changes. you have to repeat with each additional device.

hope this helped.

I am getting a message that my Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000v2.0 is about to quit. Do I need new batteries and if so, what.

You need new AA standard type of battery. Use alkaline battery (longest life). Don't use cheap battery because solution from battery can go out and destroy your mouse. Battery life from that mouse can be around 6 month with good battery. This is very good duration for this type of mouse.

I have tried everything. I'nm working off a HPNotebook PC with a wireless mouse and keyboard that has worked for years. I cannot type on the keyboard. It is frozen. Please help.

Remove the battery of the keyboard and clean, test teh battery . If bad replace the battery and test. If the same fault occurs since the mouse is working fine then the keyboard has a fault.
It is possible that the keyboard processor is faulty . You must check if the cost of a new keyboard will be as much as changing the IC in the keyboard.

My keyboard seems to type letters, especially x

Hmm, sounds like a electrical fault but it could be a virus so scan your computer just in case.

Laser mouse no power

Make sure that the switch on the mouse is ON. Try another battery. If you get the same problem, you need to contact the manufacturer or the reseller for RMA.

Keyboard does not type brand new batteries

look for a little hole on the keyboard, the button is the size of a pin head, it is for resetting the keyboard after you put in a new battery. when you find the reset switch the keyboard light will work and the startup bar will show it has found a new device.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Yes, unfortunately, although it's normally the mouse that eats batteries (and not cheese, contrary to belief), the only thing to do to give you a little longer is to use re-chargeable batteries. I am convinced batteries nowadays are a poorer quality than a few years ago, no matter who's brand you use.
