Look for a little hole on the keyboard, the button is the size of a pin head, it is for resetting the keyboard after you put in a new battery. when you find the reset switch the keyboard light will work and the startup bar will show it has found a new device.

Suddenly can't type in keyboard. Desktop computer. Brand new batteries. Must fix soon. Help!

I would take the batteries back out and put them back in. You may have put the batteries in the wrong way. Another thing you can do is to unplug the dongle that came with the keyboard and mouse. You can wait a few seconds and plug it back in. The batteries you are installing may be bad. Try installing another set of alkaline batteries. Try rebooting your computer, see if that helps. Your wireless keyboard and mouse may be going out. You can find new wireless keyboards and mice at Walmart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Etc.

Why does my brand new, just unpacked wireless Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse (unit mk550) doesn't work? When I received the unit, both off/on switches were on. The keyboard was 'dead' nothing

You can change the batteries, then push the connection button on the back of the keyboard, also, download the logitech software to help get it set up.

My Keyboard is brand new. We have replaced batteries, and pushed the reset button for 30 seconds, the indicator does not register new batteries or any batteries at all. Reset was synchronized with reset...

Possible reasons for no power to keyboard...
Batteries in wrong direction. Check orientation of each battery.
New batteries are actually bad. (replace)
Positive terminal is obstructed by packing strip (remove packing strip from batt compartment)
Positive nipple is too short and cannot reach terminal. (try a different brand battery)

New Keyboard is defective. (return to store for exchange)

If it really is "brand-new", it could be defective.

Laptop keyboard doesnt work, extensa 5220 laptop . keyboard keys do nothing, boots up fine , and mouse functions fine, can get on facebook , but cant type anything.

Either something got spilled in it or the connection ribbon got jossled lose. The top power bezel should be in with clip snaps. Remove it then the keyboard should pop up after you lightly squeeze the sides in. Look under the keyboard there is a ribbon that connects with a lock snap. Lightly push the lock clip up and push the ribbon back in and snap the clip back on. Do not put it all together yet try booting it apart and try the keyboard. If it still doesnt work power down remove battery unplug it and finish removing the keyboard order u a new 1. They run around $20 brand new.

Keyboard does not always pick up letters I type.

This may or may not be a solution but 1 try putting brand new batteries in the mouse and keyboard and move all cellular and cordless devices away from the computer. Other than that see if there's a coloration between how much is going on in the PC (like how much cpu\ram\disk reading) and the times when the pc doesn't pick up the key strokes. Lastly is the keyboard clean?

Laser 6000v2.0 keyboard does not type anymore

did you make sure you resynced the mouse and/or keyboard to the wireless receiver. usually you do this by holding down the button on the receiver until the light starts flashing then you press the button on the bottom of the mouse/keyboard until the flashin stops or changes. you have to repeat with each additional device.

hope this helped.
please rate well

Install a new keybord

Unplug your current old keyboard, plug in your new keyboard. Two types of connectors: PS/2 or USB. Depending on your keyboard brand, go to that vendor website and download that keyboards software (optional).
