Question about HP LaserJet 1160 Printer
It used to work fine but now it often gets an error in the print cache after printing ten times or so fine, the next one just locks the printer up and the green lite blinks- if you cancel print jobs it still blinks and after a few minutes a blank page comes out. Once it does this we have to shut the computer and printer off and restart in order to print again.

Phet, -Exactly what is the error message? -How is this printer connected to your PC, direct, networked though a server, etc.)? -What driver are you using? Once you supply this and any other pertinent details we'll start troubleshooting.

Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.

The printer’s internal event log stores the last 20 errors and can be printed at any time. To print the
1 Press MENU until INFORMATION MENU appears.
2 Press ITEM until PRINT EVENT LOG appears.
3 Press SELECT to print the event log.
