I have a realtively new Siemans SL84A dishwasher, and all of a sudden, the power stopped. I pulled out the dishwasher and tested the plug adn it is fine, so it is the d/w unit. Is there a reset button or a fuse on the unit that will amek this an easy fix? I have not tore into it yet.
Although I think this is unrelated, I drained the hot water heater about 3 weeks ago, but in the process my wife started the d/w. She told me after ward when it no longer sprayed water. I poured some water into the machine and it started right up and worked for the next 3 weeks till all the power went out last night.
Not a solution but a cause for my DW having the same problem. One of the four wires going to the On/Off switch shorted and burned. I never lost power to the unit, as far as I know there is no reset button of fuse. I rewired the unit and ran several washes without overheating or shorting.

well that's basically it. the pump is humming as if it's working, but it doesn't drain. It's been working flawlessly for 5 years now, and I haven't moved it around, so it shouldn't be the hose? I've read maybe I can push two buttons, and the system will reset, I just don't know what two buttons? I hope you can help.

This weekend the dishwasher stopped cleaning the dishes. The dishwasher sounds like it goes through all the cycles. It still beeps when done and when I open the door steam still comes out. But the dishes are still not clean. I took both the bottom and top washer bars out they were blocked I unblocked them. Today I washed another load and the dishes were not clean.
