If you dont have it in your glove box in the owners manual or with the papers with the car than you going to have to call your local volkswagen dealer and talk to someone in tech services and than give them your serial/vin number of the car and they can look it up for you then.

Car stereo locked after batterie change

Contact a subaru dealer for assistance and if they need s/n off the stereo, then remove it yourself and save the diagnostics fee. If they want to charge for the code, search the web for free anti-theft code information or use

If the radio does indeed have a code, while you have it out is the best time to get it done. You can contact a VW dealer, they will need the model and serial numbers off of the unit to get the original code for you. You may have to provide proof of purchase, as the reason these have codes is to keep people from stealing them, but if the dealers just gave out codes to anyone with a radio in their hands, the security feature really doesn't work, now does it?
