    I'm useing IE and Windows XP . Both my laptop and my Desk Top use the IE. It looks like something is blocking it from Loading. And it's the Log In Screen that will not load. I just get a blank screen. It work fine one week ago.

    I'm not on the security blocked sites,

    No I have not installed any Proxy Software.

    No they have not blocked my IP because it works on all my other PC in the house and they all use the same modem.

    I'm useing IE and Windows XP. Some how a setting got changed and is blocking the from loading.

    So it loads on the LapTop but not your other PC?

    Suggest you check your browser security settings (some dubious sites do alter them without you knowing!!!).

    If I may, might I suggest you download and try the Firefox browser.
    It's far more secure and flexible and will not alter any settings you already have. I haven't used IE for over 5 years now !!!

    If you want to try the Fire fox option, just give me a yell and I'll walk you through the set up. It's dead easy.

    Is the web browser different to that on your LapTop?

    Also....what web browser are you using?

    I'm using my Mac and safari along with firefox, I as well can't get into my login screen. So I don't think it's just something wrong with IE it's probably something wrong with the site.

1. go to internet options>security>blocked sites. See if the site is listed there.
2. check if you have installed by mistake any Proxy software.
3. If you have done any suspicious activity on that website, website administrators might have blocked you IP

Applications Closing Instantly

Yes, it sounds like a computer-virus.
Remove the disk-drive from your desktop computer,
and attach it as a "slave" disk-drive to some other desktop computer, and then run a full virus-scan.

Or, just follow "best practises":
* backup your data & music & E-mail & contacts,
* reinstall Windows from trusted media,
* run Windows Update a bunch of times,
* reinstall anti-virus software,
* reload your files.

I doubt the problem is with your computer. Most likely yahoo was having problems. Try again at a time when yahoo traffic is light and see what happens. I've used Yahoo finance daily for a couple of years and have had occasional problems around peak periods (noon to 1pm, and from the exchange closeing bell until about 5pm

Hello: I have a computer running Windows XP Media Edition SP2. Several weeks ago, I started experiencing boot up problems with my computer. It stops booting in normal mode. It will boot in safe mode. When...

It looks like you installed the wrong drivers for your motherboard.  It can cause a Blue Screen Of Death.  Also how many hard-drives do you have in that computer?  IDE?  Are the jumpers set to CS?  I find that CS causes problems.  If you have 2 devices on a ribbon cable make one master w non ATA   and the second device as slave.  Also the boot.ini could be confused.  Is the boot.ini on the wrong hard-drive   Did you accidentally put 2 operating systems on the same computer?  lots of things could have caused this.

Increase the buffer size. Your PC is playing the video faster than your internet connection can stream it to you. Let the PC load the video for a minute or 2 before you start viewing it. (Not all websites load video until you begin playing it, so this may not work)

It almost sounds like your yahoo account has been hacked. My father had a yahoo mail address that got hacked and they kicked him off for sending out spam. I would contact yahoo.

Hey guys i help

Hi d_smog,
If you can make it to windows then go to start-run and type 'chkdsk' and hit enter. That will run check disk.
But I don't think that running a check disk will solve the problem, I am guessing that could be either a virus; because you tell me that norton went down at the same time your PC went down, in this case I recommend formating the drive; or it could be that your PC's cooler stopped working and the PC is overheating which causes an automatic shutdown to prevent the components from breaking down, in this case I recommend testing your PC's cooler and changing it if necessary.
