Question about Marvin Quartz Radiant Heater

Open Question

I have a Marvin heater Model 2060, 120v, 60HZ, 12.5 Amp, 1500 Watts, and I need to find the Quartz heating element bulbs. Where can I find these as we really like this heater? The elements measure about 16 inches long and it takes 2 of them. Right now we are running it on only one element as the other one is burnt out.

SOURCE: the rotary switch off/750/1500 is bad. Marvin 2060

replaced the rotary switch with a double poll single T. this makes the heater a 1500 watt with no 750 watt option.

Is it safe to plug a 1500 watt Marvin quartz radiant heater, model 4940 into the same receptacle as a lamp with a 100 watt bulb ? We had both appliances plugged into the wall and started smelling smoke...

You had a low end cheap receptacle more than likely or possibly a loose wire on the receptacle. You should have #12 wire fed from a 20 amp breaker and a 20 amp spec grade receptacle.

Marvin Quartz heater element

Very simple to install the replacement element. Insert one end of the element into the bottom receptacle on either side, press the element down (it's spring-loaded), then slide the top of the element into the center opening of the top receptacle, push to appropriate side (the side of receptacle, same as the bottom), then release. Then do the same with the other element (if both are out).
