Internet access problem with a Linksys 54g router

By 2Pansy - usenet poster

Hi All,

I have a brand new Linksys 54g router (WRT54g) I have this plugged into my
switched 10/100 lan, all the wired PCs on the LAN can see it (3 PCs) my
laptop wireless with a linksys 54g PCMCIA card can also see it and all the
other PCs (file browsing etc.) All the PCs run XP, the main PC has an ADSL
connection which is shared using ICS and all the PCs can browse the Internet
fine, except the laptop with its wireless card installed although it can see
the ADSL connection!

Any ideas as I am pulling my hair out now!

BTW I have flashed the firmware on the router to the latest version, and
completely reinstalled the networking on the main internet gateway and the
laptop.

Kindest Regards

James

the laptop has the "computer" icon in the system tray, and when hovering
over it with the mouse, it says it is my ADSL ISC device.
