Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook

1 Answer

Dell Inspirion 1526 will not turn on. The battery is in and it is also receiving AC power. When I try to turn it on nothing happens. There are no lights and the fan does not come on. Does anyone know a solution?

Sounds like a motherboard problem that needs replacement most likely. You'll need to get a techie to diagnose it pysically

Count the number of flashes. That is the trouble code.

Dell inspirion 1300 screen goes black

Turn OFF the laptop, unplug the ac adapter and remove the battery.
Without the battery and ac adapter, hold the power button for 10 secs.
Put the power sources back and turn ON.

Have dell inspirion 1501 no lites come on with power cord or with battery. nothing happens.

First try a different AC adapter, see if the system will power on.
If no change, then the failure is most likely the motherboard

Dell 1525 won't run on ac but will on generic battery

Dell systems will not charge the battery without a Dell Branded AC adapter connected to the system (The BIOS looks for the adapter ID and disables the battery charger if not ID'd)
It appears, that since the system will not power on with either AC adapter, that there is a problem with the power connection of the system. You can replace the power board

if that fails to resolve next is the motherboard

I have completely lost all power to my inspiron 1526 laptop

Hello,

Please try the following DIY to find the issue:
1.Remove the battery and press the utton for 30 seconds and then plug the adaptor and run on ac mode without battery and if it is powering on then issue is with battery.
2.Refix the battery and check whether power LEDs are blinking.

If not in both the cases this is the issue with the MotherBoard and you will have to contact either DELL or any repair vendor.

Adapter is plugged in, but not charging for my Dell Inspiron 1526. Any thoughts?

turn on the machine and as soon as you turn on the machine keep on tapping f2 which takes you to BIOS screen, In the system option come to the Battery info and if it is showing battery and shows ac adapter as none it means adapter is faulty if it shows ac adapter type unknown then be prepared to purchase a new system board for your laptop

Dell Inspirion 1526 Laptop Battery is not charging

Sound like the battery. Take the battery out and there should be a power meter on it, press it, if there are three lights that flash, the battery is shot. Not all batteries will flash if they are worn out, but they are supposed to. Try a new battery, I believe this will coorect the issue.
