Sounds like the output section of the amp is toast. Especially if there was smoke involved.

Hi you need to unwire it all and leave it off for 24 hours this will reset any problem you have.
It sounds like it is wired up wrong somewere you can wire it direct without the brake this will also allow you to play dvd whislt driving this way passengers can watch dvd whilst driving also you will need to check all the wires as your problem sounds like either a wire wrong or the system has shorted out if this is the case and it has shorted it is going to be hard to get repaired and also expensive so iwould try unplugging it for 24 hours and then rewire it checking everywire is in the right place.
If you are 110% sure that it is wired up properly then the chances are the unit itself is damaged.
When you wire it back up make sure you do all the wires at the same time dont chage one after as this can cause the unit to malfunction give this a try and let me know how you get on ok

My car radio wont turn on

First thing you need to do is disconnect your battery. Remove your deck from the dash and look over the power wire (Red) and the constant wire (yellow) and look for exposed wire or if it is touching any bare metal. This is most likely what is happening. Most people hurry through connecting a radio using electrical tape to protect the connections. Use wire caps to make the connections ensuring that they are for the correct guage of wire being used. This should fix your issue.

IVA-D300 only LEFT speakers work.

try this get ur self a AA battery take ur stereo out of and get the two wires going to ur speakers that are not working and touch the battery with one wire on the positive and the other on the negative and see if u hear a poping from the speaker. and if u do thats the right wires and if u dont u need to find the right wires.( MAKE SURE UR STEREO IS NOT CONNECTED WHEN U R DOING THIS TEST. ALL SPEaKER WIRES NEED TO BE DISCONECTED WHEN PERFORMING TEST.)

and if u hear a pooping sound and it still dont work place the working speakers on the side thats not playing and if the dont play ur out puts are bad in the stereo and u need a new stereo. hope this helps

Kenwood ktv617dvd Power shuts off then comes back on by itself?

It sounds like there is a short somewhere in your wiring. If the problem got worse when you installed the aftermarket stereo then it may be on the factory side of the plug. You may try powering the stereo by some other means. For example, try a wire with an inline fuse directly from the fuse block to the power wire on the stereo. You can also tap into the ignition wire that way the only way it will get power is when the key is turned on. Don't forget the inline fuse if you try it that way. I had to do that with a stereo I once had.

check on the main wiring harness you wil see a black box on the yellow wire. open up the cover. there is a 10 amp mini fuse inside. if it is blown replace the fuse. also check your main radio and accesssory fuses in your fuse box. if no fuses are blown check all wiring connections.

Little red light under faceplate is blinking but i cannot get it to do anything

The blinking light is the anti theft light. When face plate is off this light always blinks. As far as the system not working, make sure you have power, check with a voltmeter, then check fuses. Check the fuses on the wire harness and also where you connected the power leads to the vehicle. If you have power, make sure that all wires are connected correctly. Also, check the ports on the stereo and gps unit to make sure no pins are bent over. Sometimes this may happen. If all looks good, there could possibly be a problem with the system. Expensive to get fixed, but there are a few guys on ebay that will fix it for around $150. Might be worth it, but you need to talk to them about that.
