The letter ''c'' sometimes repeats itself multiple times when backspacing, forward spacing and keying in text. How do I repair this? Thanks.

Sony Vaio keyboard repeating letters

Keyboards to wear out, but are not expensive to replace. Multiple key strikes and sticking can be caused by spilling "stuff" into the keyboard, even crumbs will do it.

Also the keyboard is effected by the language you choose, so check the Language icon as well.

3 keys (G, H, and backspace)on HP pavilion DV6449US notebook don't work.

Try resetting the keyboard by taking the bezel and keyboard out and unplugging it from the mainboard. If that don't work then you probably need a new keyboard. Try using a usb keyboard.

It sounds like the volume button on the keyboard may be stuck in the volume down position. Your "c" key may have similar issues. You may want to have a tech check the keyboard connections for those buttons and clean beneath them...

Keyboard

It is possible that you have a bad keyboard. The best way to test whether this is a hardware issue or a software issue with Windows is to attach a USB keyboard and see if you have the same random results. If the keyboard is bad, which could be from something being dropped on it, a spill, or just worn out, the replacement part is readily available on eBay or other online parts sites for less than $35 and the replacement procedure is rather simple. The keyboard itself is not a fixable part.
