Gas leaks out of husqvarna 350 when in use

when you refer to using it i take that as your motor is running properly which rules out the fuel supply lines, and the primer bulb .. probaly one of two things check the gas cap and make sure it has a washer and makes a liquid tight seal and inspect the tanke for any hairline cracks that begin to drip when the motor is at idle, if it could also b the primer return line that vents back to the tank ethanol has a bad habit of eating up fuel lines on two cycles

After replacing the fuel lines on a mac3200 gas is running out of the bottom of the saw, after the tank emptys the fuel quits leaking. the saw runs great though

This is usually because you used a fuel line that is too small to seal the holes they pass through in the fuel tank. When they pass through the holes in the tank they should be very tight so gas cannot leak past the lines.

Replacing gas line

Your fuel lines are routed like the schematic below. I suggest you replace the filter, all hoses (2 different sizes), and the purge button (bleeder).

Husqvarna 350 chain saw will only start if I manually put gas in the carb. and then it dies! I've clean the carb twice! The piston ring is within specs and the muffler is not dirty.

Typical fuel system:

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly. It can also be an air leak, inspect for a loose or defective carburetor manifold or loose carburetor. If those are good then the likely cause is internal parts of the carburetor are dirty or have failed. HTH
