2575v printer not working on vista pc. It prints, but wont scan.

Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows7 operating systems provide a basic set of scanning drivers, also referred to as Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) drivers that you can use as an alternative to scan a document when you cannot scan using the HP drivers. You might choose to use these scanning drivers for one of the following reasons:
  • Your product released before Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows7, and HP has not released drivers that support scanning for your product.
  • You have not installed the available HP software that includes scanning.
  • You are troubleshooting a scanning problem and trying to identify the source of the problem.
First, choose your Windows operating system from the following options: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02459304&tmp_task=useCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&key=null&product=441240

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Joe

I cant install lexmark x83 to my new laptop lost software disc

Here are the links to the Lexmark website to download the drivers. Just click on the links:
- Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (For Windows XP only)
- Custom Driver for Microsoft Windows 2000 (For Windows 2000 only)
- Lexmark X83 Driver for Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10.x, Mac OS X 10.2.8, and Mac OS X 10.3.x. (For Macintosh)
Unfortunately, there are no drivers for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Macintosh 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6.

WE LOST OUR LEMARK 2500 CD AND WE WILL LIKE TO INSTALL OUR PRINTER BY DOWNLAODING FROM THE WEBSITE

Hi. There are drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. Before downloading, check if your computer is running on Windows (XP, Vista 32-bit, Vista 64-bit or Windows 2000) or is it running on Macintosh (version 10.3, 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6). To download, just click on the link: http://bit.ly/axy5n7 . On the bottom of the page, there are dropdowns for Microsoft and Macintosh. Choose the operating system your computer is running on. Download the driver. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Choose the XP drivers, they should still work if Vista ones are not available. If they do not, then Lexmark will not be making drivers forward for that model of printer and it'll be time to go get a new inexpensive inkjet.
