If what the prior poster said doesn't work- try this, Take your old ILO remote to a large VCR store-one that displays many brands on a shelf, and they are all plugged in. Just point your old ILO remote at the shelf of VCRs and press the on/off button on the old remote. The unit on the store's shelf(reguardless of brand) that "Blinks" is the manufacture's code you are looking for. So if a Sony 'blinks' use the sony codes that came with your universal remote. A lot of 'brands' are made by the same company, dependant on year of mamufacture, EG Sony=some Sharp=wards admrial, Panasonic=some GE=some Quzar=some toshiba
