I had the same problem, only the LED stayed light red/orange and nothing worked. With the unit unplugged, first try to manually eject the DVD by sliding the plastic tab in the slot on the bottom in the direction indicated by the arrow. Leave the tray extended and plug back in. Or, with the unit unplugged, press and hold the Eject button and then plug back in. If none of those work and the fuse is good, check this site: http://www.drx9000repair.netfirms.com/#Cyberhome%20CH%20300
Mine had a low 5V supply. I did the change to the PC board as shown on this site and added a ~90K resistor from ZD2 to U3 and viola it fixed the problem!!
Are you sure it is plugged to the mains? Check the power cables to see if it has some cracks/bends. if the above is incorrect - it might be that the internal fuse is blown - this needs a lab/technician to be fixed.

Sounds crazy but have you checked the battries in your remote , sometimes low battries will cause corruption in the internal processor chip and all that is required to sort it out is a new set .. try this if just replacing the battries and turning the set back on by the remote has no effect .. check the back of the set to see if it has a reset button some do other than that a local service engineer may be able to update the software on your machine for a small fee or at least be able to give you a free estimate on its repair .hope this helps .. regards Vortash
You might want to reset to factory defaults, but there is an error in the manual. In order to reset to factory defaults, turn on (with no disc inside), DO NOT OPEN THE DISC TRAY, just press the stop button on the player for 5 seconds.
