Question about Boating
I have an Evinrude 9.9 two cycle, 1996 that I use on my sailboat.
The when I turn the handle to accelerate, if I let go it slips back to a lower speed; it just doesn't stay where I leave it.
I bought a manual to fix, but found nothing in the whole manual!
Hi, It is a safety device. These small motors are equipped with a spring to return the motor to idle speed when you let go. You can ( and I am not advising you to do this) remove the spring so that the handle stays put when you let go. This should Fixya!
