just bought a D-link 2 port switcher & here's my problem:
hooking it to my home PC & also to a digital music 16 track recorder
the D-link recognizes the PC VGA/Keyboard no problem...but on the
recorder...just the VGA works...no keyboard?? I tried awitching out cables
& even switched ports..& same result...no keyboard working on the
recorder...
I even hooked my keyboard straight into the recorder...that works! why won't
it work through the KVM switcher only to the digital recorder, because it
works to the pc on either port any clues??
thanks

Well I good idea is to find out what kind of signal you recorder sends our.
What happens if your Recorder runs on a Mac or any other kinda PS/2
Different connection.
This means you will most likely need a convertor or even an emulation
(hot-swappable) converter.

have a look at the cybex stuff under KVM accesories.
