Question about Dell Inspiron 531s Desktop Computer
I have a Dell Inspirion 531s. When I turned on the computer I received the following message. No boot device availableSATA 0:InstalledSATA 1:InstalledSATA 2:noneSATA 3:noneDo you have any idea what my problem might be?
Need new hard drive. I just had the same thing happen with 2 XP units. One worked fine a few months back Iput it aside because got a new laptop. The went to play some older games on the Xpand nothing No Boot Device detected. Ok Re install windows right? that worked fine as long as the disk was in but once I tried without the disk same issue. Somehow the Harddrive became corrupted. For me no big deal Was a secondhand unit (XP) and I had a newer win 8 laptop to use but still.Found another harddrive popped it in just recently and works like a charm without any issues so far (knock on wood).

I tell you m idea....first, maybe there is no operating system like windows or etc...second maybe your hard disk is not detecting or its damage, third, check the bios setup for the drives..it can help to solve the problem
