Apple Inc.Nov 2, 2015 - ... forgotten your passcode, or if a message says that your device isdisabled. ... If you're signed in to iCloud and Find My iPhone is enabled, use iCloud. If you don't use iCloud and you can't sync or connect with iTunes, use ...
Put the ipod into recovery mode and connect to itunes. itunes will offer to reset the device to factory install (current iOS will be downloaded and installed). This will wipe all contents on the ipod, but you can restore all purchases from Apple store.
If you happen to have a backup you can restore from that unless that backup is too new and contains the forgotten password.
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
When you set up a passcode to secure the use of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and then enter the wrong passcode, you may see a a message saying your device is "disabled". Learn what to do if you have forgotten or can't remember your passcode, or if your device displays a message saying it is disabled. If you enter the wrong passcode six or more times, you'll see a message that says one of the following:
iPhone is disabled
iPad is disabled
iPod touch is disabled
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, restore your device.
When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup".
Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your device.
Open itunes, connect your Ipod to the computer with the USB cord, a message will come up saying "iTunes could not connect to the ipod because it is disabled/locked with a passcode". press cancel. Unplug your ipod from the USB cord. Now shut down the ipod, hold in the home button at the bottom and connect the USB cable back up, keep holding the home button down and you will see a picture of a USB cable and iTunes on your ipod screen. iTunes will say it has detected an ipod in recovery mode and would you like to restore it to factory settings? Click restore and sit back for a few minutes until it restores everything to factory settings. Your ipod will reboot and iTunes will detect it. You can then go into the ipod and install a new pass code if you wish to. Hope this helps, Rob
Connect your ipod to the computer and get itunes to come up. Sorry mate but then you will have to restore the ipod so the lock password feature is taken off
Step 1: Turn on your computer, and connect your iPod to your computer with the USB cable that came with your iPod.
Step 2: Open up iTunes on your computer.
Step 3: In iTunes, go to the left side of your screen and scroll down, when you see your iPod, select it.
Step 4: You should now see on the right side of your screen some general iPod information. Scroll down to until you see a "Restore" button. This will erase everything that was on the iPod, and sync whatever is in your iTunes library. It is the only known way. Note: If this was helpful please vote for this solution!
