Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
Does this password request come up before the Windows XP logo with the scrolling dots appears? If so, you have a setup, or BIOS, password. Whoever put it there needs to remove it. This password cannot be broken. You MIGHT be able to erase it, but you have to unplug the computer, trmove the main battery, and find and remove the BIOS button battery, and leave it that way for an hour or so, then put everything back. If it worked, no more password.
