2003 Malibu blows hot air from vents no matter where temp is set and on ac also

Blend door is not working. Could be the door is stuck, wiring issue, bad actuator or control panel issue. In your car, the actuator is not too hard to access. Follow the instructions to access the actuator. Check the connection. Before removing the actuator, turn the key on and change the temp setting. If you hear clicking from the actuator, it has probably stripped its gears. If not, remove the actuator and check to see if you can rotate the door by hand. If not, you will need to remove the duct to see why the door is jammed. If the door rotates by hand, plug the connector back into the actuator, turn the key on again, and change the temp setting while watching the gear on the actuator to verify operation. If the actuator doesn't turn the gear, the problem is with the actuator or the controller. Remove the connector again and probe the connector with a voltmeter. Turn the key on again and probe the terminal of the light blue wire. There should be voltage there when you change the temp setting. If not, the problem is with the control panel. If there is voltage of a few volts or more, the problem is the actuator.

Removal & Installation

Remove the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
Remove the left closeout panel.
Remove the knee bolster.
Remove the air temperature actuator screws.
Remove the air temperature actuator.
Remove the air temperature actuator wire harness connector.

To install:

Install the air temperature actuator wire harness connector.
Install the air temperature actuator and tighten the mounting screws to 13 inch. lbs. (1.5 Nm).
Install the knee bolster
Install the left closeout panel.
Install the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).

Water light on

If your dryer doesn't work at all, it could be because of problems with:

Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.

Continuous flow from water dispenser

With GE it could be a bad water valve, bad microswitch that actuates the water or could be a bad main control board. You can diagnose the valve by simply pulling the wire harness off and turning the water on. If the water starts to flow with the power removed from the valve then the valve is stuck and needs replacing. If the water stopped with the power removed, check the valve's wire harness with a volt meter and see if 115vac is being applied. If so then the switch or the board are bad. You can check the switch by setting your meter to continuity and checking the com part of the switch to either the no or nc part. One should test good for continuity, the other not and with the switches buttong depressed the exact opposite. If the switch test good then the board is bad.

I have a 02 Chevy Blazer.Heater only blows cold air.I have replaced the thermostat had radiator rotted out flushed the heater core changed water pump even changed control switch inside vehicle.Still cold...

Check the blend door actuator. Not sure where it is but usually right of center on the heater box, near the core. Looks like the picture below. Maybe you can trace the wires from the control panel. These actuators have a tendency to strip their gears--you may even hear it clicking as it tries to rotate the door. If not, plug it back in after you take it off to see if it will actuate. If the actuator turns, doublecheck the door to see if you can rotate it by hand. If the door is jammed, you may have to pull the whole box out to repair it. Let us know if you have more questions.

How do you change a blend door actuator on a 2003 GMC Yukon. Need to know where it is located and how to get to it.

Locks & Lock Systems
Power Door Locks

Diagnosis & Testing
  1. Check the fuses for the door lock circuit. Verify there is 12 volts at the fuse terminal. If voltage is not present, check the wiring.
  2. Remove the door trim panel of the affected door.
  3. Unplug the connector to the door lock actuator. Connect a test lamp across the terminals of the harness.
  4. Verify that the light illuminates briefly in both the lock and unlock positions of the switch.
    1. If it does not, there may be an open/high resistance or a short to ground in the wiring. If the wiring is OK, the IP fuse block is faulty.
    2. If it does illuminate and the lock actuator still does not work, the actuator is faulty.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Disable the Supplemental Restraint System.
  3. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to the illustration for the mounting screw and lock tab locations. After detaching the hardware, carefully pull it away, then lift it off the door just far enough to detach the electrical connections from it.
  4. Carefully detach the water shield from the door; this will be reused upon installation.
  5. Disconnect the inside door lock rod from the handle retainer clip.
  6. Detach the door lock rod from the retainer clip.
  7. Remove the rubber plug to access the outside handle rod. Disengage it from the clip and disconnect the lock cylinder rod.
  8. Detach the electrical connector and remove the lock from the vehicle.
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal. When installing the lock, tighten the screws to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

Door Lock Switch
  1. Remove the door trim panel.
  2. Remove the screw securing the switch assembly.
  3. Use a flat bladed tool to remove the switch panel bezel from the panel.
  4. Release the retaining tabs of the switch assembly using wide flat bladed tool.
  5. Remove the lock and window switch assembly from the door panel.
