Question about Amana AOES3030 Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Amana wall oven will not heat with new ERC

Replaced the ERC Conv.Membrane, now when you set the oven temp it only reads 170 and the oven never heats up. You can hear a click as though it is going to heat and shortly after a second click as though something shut off.

Do you think I didn't need to replace the ERC and only the heating element?

  • cbrooksher09 Mar 03, 2009

In looking at the oven, it looks as though there is only one heating element yet in looking at the parts list there is a broil element and a bake element. Neither broil or bake is functioning...which part do I order?

The heating element needs replacement.that the only solution.its common in this ovens as the heating element breaks down in between so it never heats up.

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
Here is that part to order.

Hi haiste,

This problem only means that you have a bad ERC that needs replacement. You may order the part from Sears, call them at 1-800-252-1698. Just get your model number ready and they'll help you get the new ERC. Once delivered, it goes with the instruction on how you will replace.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

GE Profile Convection Problem

with GE
SHORTED OVEN SENSOR CIRCUIT
if your comfortable taking the range out of the box, it is a pretty easy repair. The oven sensor is a small tube in the range that "sences" temp.
although it could be the erc, its more than likely the sonsor itself.
it is on the back wall and has to be unplugged from the back to be removed
there are two screws that hold it on the back wall
put the new one in and you should be ready to go
goto appliancepartspros.com
type in your modle number and look in the cavity section
your looking for the oven sensor
they usually run around 20-30 dollars

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.

Oven wont heat up to temp set

You will need to have the thermostat looked at or replaced, it may be defective and not reading the correct temp, also try using a manual oven thermometer to check the actual temp in the oven to give you a better idea of what the actual temp is inside
