If the reset doesn't work, download the Player Update from http://mymusix.com

My sansa clip+ 4GB just stop working all of a sudden, i tried to charge it but it doesnt work, i just got it 4 days ago. plz tell me how to fix this

I'm not sure the issue but here are a few things you can try:

Try an alternate USB cable in a different USB port if possible.

1) perform a soft reset, Slide the on switch all the way to the up most position and hold it there for 15 seconds. The clip should turn off(if it shows anything). Then you can release the switch after 15 seconds. Then try turning it on normally.

2) Forced MSC mode - power button "DOWN" in hold (orange showing), press and hold CENTER button while connecting USB cable (& don't release CENTER button until unit is recognized).

3) Check for file corruption on the Clip: While in Forced MSC mode (see #2 above) then Right-click on the drive. Go to Properties/Tools tab/Error-checking tab, and then Check... If there is an option to fix errors, check it. If you are asked whether to save bad files or chains, don't.

Another way to do this is manually. Then: Start / Run and type in chkdsk G:/f . (Use the correct drive letter that represents the Sansa.) This will check the disc and ask you if you want to save corrupted chains. Don't save them.

4) If the above doesn't work, you can try formatting the Clip from windows, it will erase your songs on the clip and you will have to reload them. Right click on the Clip's icon under Windows Explorer, Select Format and it will erase the contents of the Clip. Then turn it on and see if it will refresh the database.

good luck....

Files corrupted can not add or delete anything to memory card.

Did you try to reformat the memory card? This will erase all your files but it will also get rid if all the corrupted files. With the card in the mp3 player, hook it up to your computer with the USB cable that came with your player. Click on the my computer icon on your computer. Right click on the removable storage device listed as the one in your mp3 player an select format. A message will pop up say are you sure you want to do this. All files will be erased in this process. Click yes. Select full format, not quick format. This will insure every file is completely gone. You will now be able to save all your mp3s back to your player. I hope this solves your problem. If you need more help feel free to get back to me. You can send me an e-mail with your number to my user name here at gmail.com with your number and I will call you for free and walk you through it if it would make you more comfortable. I just want to make sure you get your problem fixed right away.
Thanks,
George

Where does a deleted file go? any chance for recovery?

You are going to have to start again, first connect the unit to your computer copy anything you want to save piccys movies and stuff but not the corrupted music files, Format the drive, then goto http://www.nodevice.com/driver/_PVR-H140/get33981.html download the driver files and re-install to the PVR, then copy all your mp3 files back.........

File system corrupt

I don't know exactly which model of the Thomson Lyra you have, but you can visit the Support page on their website, find your particular player model, and download software updates that might help solve this problem.

My mp3 player restarts when it turns on

Connect the player to your computer and then reformat the player this is usually cause by corrupt songs in the device. If it the player is detected as a portabel device. Perform recovery mode onf the player then follow these steps. 1. Create a New Text Document in your desktop. 2. Open it and click on File then Save As 3. Change teh Save as Type  All Files and the file name is sansa then save the file. 4. Now copy the file to the 16 MB drive which is located in your My Computer. ****** This will format the player and delete all the songs in your device. If it did not work update the firmware of the player.
