Unable to use Webcam with Vista(In Scanners and Cameras)...

I have a OKION Citadel...
Vista Installs it as Vega USB webcam and it works with applications like WebcamMax and WLM, but Vista doesn't pick it up as a camera under the ''Scanners and Cameras''...

Is it possible to change this?

How do I get a driver for a DVC325 Digital to run on VISTA home?

1. Install the w2k/xp driver using compatability mode for windows server service pack 1.
2. Click into control panel - Hardware and sound - Scanners and camera's - add device. Now select the Kodak and Model and Finish.
3. Click into control panel Device manager and plug in DVC325 Webcam, when detected right click and choose update driver (you'll find the driver automatically installs).

New microphone works on one sight, but not another

Hi
Logitec cams have some issues with some Windows operating systems particularly Vista, However if you have Vista you will have to download Vistas driver for that exact cam model. If your operating system isnt Vista then setup the cam in "control panel, printers and other hardware, scanners and cameras". Also I trust when you installed the driver you did NOT plug camera in till it told you to do so.!! ALL USB powered devices must NOT be plugged in while loading drivers.

When Vista was launched the biggest problem faced by many user is compatibility of there current version of software, as vista do not support all the software, and people were made to but new software’s which is compatible with vista.
but with a simple trick you can make all Windows Software to run on vista.
Follow the simple steps:

  • Select any desired program/ software which you want to install

Mionet unable to detect Lifecam 7000

A camera icon will show up at the bottom of your My Resources in MioNet. If the camera does not appear, then a manual scan is required. To scan for a new camera, go to the MioNet application, select File, then click "Scan for Cameras and new Devices…" MioNet will report any changes in the computer configuration.

If the camera isn't detected and an icon is not available, then there may be two devices interfering with a scan:

1. Built-in webcam: MioNet does not support built-in webcams. This device should be disabled in Windows Device Manager, the computer rebooted, and a new "Scan for Cameras and new Devices…" performed with the USB webcam. Once the USB webcam is detected by MioNet, the onboard webcam can be re-enabled and the computer rebooted.

2. TV tuner card: MioNet also does not support TV tuner cards. This device should be disabled in Windows Device Manager, the computer rebooted, and a new "Scan for Cameras and new Devices…" performed with the USB webcam. Once the USB webcam is detected by MioNet, the TV tuner card can be re-enabled and the computer rebooted.

3. If the camera is being used by another program, MioNet will not be able to detect it. Please confirm no other program, including the camera view in Windows control panel, is not using the camera.

Vista driver for Intel camers

You need a USB video class driver to use in vista. this link says it's for a genius webcam but the driver is a generic one for vista-supported usb cameras(amongst others devices), so it should work for you.

Green light is on mine, but USB port shows no device. When I plug it in, I get "found new device" message, but no icon on my desktop. None of my messengers recognize it either. It does show up in cameras and scanners though...I'm so confused.
