I have to replace the batteries in the mouse at least once a month. The batteries in the keyboard are the ones I put in when it was new (about 3 months).

THERE MUST BE A DEFECTIVE PART IN THE MOUSE BECAUSE YOU SOULDNT HAVE TO CHANGE THE MOUSE BATTERY ONCE EVERY 6 MONTH TO A YEAR, AND THE KB THE SAME 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR.

YOU CAN GO ON LINE EMIAL LOGITECH AND ASK THEM WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, HERE IS THE WEB SITE:

Batteries ran down in the optical mouse. I put in new batteries and now I can't get the mouse to work. it's frozen

Remove the battery off and keep aside from within the mouse. Now disconnect the USB - optical detector to the PC. Shut down the PC . Replace battery once again and power the PC, then connect the USB to see if the mouse is detected.
If not remove off installed software of the optical device and reinsert once again so that it gets detected.

I have a wireless HP Keyboard/mouse. (SPS # 481019-001. The receiver (usb) # is 481021-001. My problem is that the keyboard works great and the mouse does not work at all. I have no idea why. I put new...

From the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3807046&lc=en

the specifications state:

•Energy efficient : Conserve energy with PC sleep button. Monitor battery level with convenient on screen battery level indicator. Long battery life (keyboard - 12 months typical, mouse - 4 months typical).

So, the mouse _DOES_ need a new battery. Take it to a computer-store, to get them to sell you a new battery, after showing you how to remove the old battery.

Is there abattery? how do you replace it?

Turn the mouse over. On the bottom near the ball there is a panel on the bottom. There should be a ribbed spot. Put your thumbs there and push the panel towards the button end of the mouse. It will slide maybe a 1/4 inch or 6mm and then will be free. You can lift it off. Under the panel is the mouse ball and the batteries. You need two AAA batteries. Take the old ones out and put the new ones in. There is a little engraving showing which end goes where. Once those are in put the cover panel back on and slide it back away from the button end to lock it into place. Normally it will just start working again but once in a while you have to push the connect buttons. Use the tip of a pen to push the one on the bottom of the mouse. after that you should be up and running. If is reaaaaly being annoying you may have to push the one on the triangle antenna or base first then the one on the mouse. The mouse batteries are a bit more annoying then the keyboard ones as it will just stop without any warning. they keyboard usually acts up a bit just before the batteries go. You learn to have some spares around after a while. ;-]

How to activiate iball wireless keyboard and mouse

My keyboard and mouse are microsoft, But, I think they all sync the same, Look on the bottom of the mouse and the keyboard, you should find a small button, one on the reciever also, these need to be pushed in a certain sequence, Mine is the keyboard first, then the reciever, watch the active light on the reciever, it should flash a few times then stay on, then it's synced, Do the same with the mouse, Your's could be different though, it could be mouse first. One more thing they need to be less than a couple feet apart when you do this. so that's it Good luck. Bob

Mouse drawing to much power dances all over the screen

Make sure you don't have any bluetooth devices activated near your wireless mouse or it will keep making it move all over the screen, killing the batteries. After bluetooth devices are disabled, take the batteries out and leave the mouse sitting for awhile without the batteries in their to let it reset for a fresh start. Them put them back in and see if it works. If it still does not work, un-install and re-install the software that came with it.
