[Solution # 1]
Drag and drop it onto regsvr32.exe in Windows\system32 folder. Make a shortcut for regsvr32.exe in the same folder the OCX is in and drag and drop it that way

[Solution # 2] Just run cmd.exe as administrator and try again. This is the key.

Here, step by step:

1. find the folder of cmd: it is usually on C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
2. Do right click over cmd.exe and click on "run as Administrator"
3. now just use regsvr32.exe as you used to do!

For example, to register most Blackd Proxy ocxs, you might need to type this in "Administrator" cmd:

regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\richtx32.ocx
regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx
regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\mswinsck.ocx
regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\msflxgrd.ocx
regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\msinet.ocx
regsvr32.exe C:\windows\system32\comctl32.ocx

A side result for Visual Basic 6.0 users: this seems to be the way to use components in Windows Vista properly. Just register the components of your proyect with "Administrator" cmd before adding them to your proyect (or before opening a proyect that already had such components)

[Solution # 3]
use this in command line

REGSVR32 /V then ur ocx or dll name
ex:
REGSVR32 /V CRPAIG32.DLL

[Solution # 4]
right-clicking the batch file and selecting
'run as administrator'.

Registered:
richtx32.ocx
comdlg32.ocx
mscomctl.ocx
dxtmeta2.dll

Good luck

You didn't provide a question, but I can offer this:

Re-Register the file:
You can Re-register this file it by typing "regsvr32 comctl32.ocx" from the command line in the system32 directory.
Perform the following steps to make the changes:
1. Click Start
2. In the Search bar type CMD
3. In the programs pane right click on cmd and "run as an Administrator"
4. Put in your credentials for UAC prompt
5. In the command prompt type in "regsvr32 comctl32.ocx" then press ENTER

How do i register on 2go?

You can use the Regsvr32 tool (Regsvr32.exe) to register and unregister object linking and embedding (OLE) controls such as dynamic-link library (DLL) or ActiveX Controls (OCX) files that are self-registerable. This may be necessary to troubleshoot some issues with Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, or other programs. It is also frequently used by program hacks.

1.) Copy the files you would like to register to [C:\WINDOWS\system32]
2.) Go to the command prompt Start --> Run --> cmd
3a.) To install/register the file type in: regsvr32 file.dll or regsvr32 file.ax
3b.) To uninstall the files type: regsvr32 -u file.dll or regsvr32 -u file.ax
4.) Some type of message should be displayed that says you successfully registered or unregistered the file

How to register .ocx files?

To register an ocx file simply follow the simple steps below.

1.Locate the file using windows explorer or My Computer. Alternatively search for the filename.

2.Hold down the shift key and right click on the file. Then click 'Open With...' from the menu.

3.An 'Open With' dialog box should appear. Click the button 'Other...'.

4.Navigate to your windows\system32 directory and select the file 'RegSvr32.exe'. Do a file search for it if you have trouble locating the exact folder. On Windows 2000 it is typically located in c:\WINNT\System32. Click Open to select the file. Then click OK on the 'Open With' dialog.

5.You should see a message indicating the file was successfully registered. If you see an error message, try restarting your computer and going through the above process again.

Insert the CD and exit out of the Welcome screen. Now explore the CD contents and open a folder named 'setup'. now look for a folder named SolutionCenter and open it. Look for a file named SolutionCenter.msi. Right click on it and click on 'Repair'. restart the PC if required. Good luck

Error with Vista

If you are using any other operating system than Vista please see this article: http://www.rebrandsoftware.com/admin/supportEdit.asp?article_id=53

This error indicates that a file is not correctly installed on your system. In some cases it may be correctly installed for all standard users but not for the "Administrator" account, and you may only see this error when selecting "Run as Administrator".

The built in Administrator account is not intended to be used as a user account. It is very secure and will not allow program components to be registered. Instead you should create an account with administrative rights, and use it instead of the built in Administrative account. This will help solve runtime error 339/429 on our software, and lots of other software that you may install in the future. If you do not want to create a standard user account (not recommended) you can follow the instructions below:

If the problem started suddenly then a reinstall may fix it. If not, follow the directions below to register each file that is producing the error. You generally will only have to repeat the instructions 3 or 4 times:

Click start
In the search box type "cmd" without the quotes
When CMD.exe appears above the search box right click it and select "Run As Administrator". This will open a command prompt with admin rights.
Repeat the following for each file that is causing this error, replacing [filename] with the actual name of the file that is causing problems:

-Type "regsvr32 [filename] /u" without the quotes
-You will receive a prompt saying the file has been unregistered. Click OK.
-Type "regsvr32 [filename]" (shortcut: press your UP ARROW and delete /u)
-You will receive a prompt saying the file has been successfully registered.
    .......................................................
    try this

    Go to Start
    click Run
type in cmd
press enter

type in the black screen

regsvr32 MSWINSCK.OCX

Press enter
it will come back the c: prompt
then
Restart your PC

1)error message upon clicking on an .exe/it says my Msinit.ocx is wrong/more details ff; 2) what program do I need if i wish to open a .ppl thingey

What was the error message, also you are stating only problems, not questions, please be more specific into what you want to do so people can help you.

the only solution I can think of for the OCX error is to re-register it

Go to 'Start' -> 'Run', type (or copy/paste from here) 'regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSINET.OCX' and press Enter (a message box normally appears containing 'DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\System32\MSINET.OCX succeeded.')

Also you might have to update your .net frameworks (check microsoft update.

I went to the bridge barron site and only found this

please link to the PPL file.

Registering msdatlst.ocx and msdatrep.ocx in Vista

This may help to find the reason why msdatrep.ocx is not registering. Try http://www.dependencywalker.com/ download, run it and tell it to be associated with .ocx files too. Than you can right mouse click on msdatrep.ocx and say "View Dependencies" - any missing dlls will be in red. This may help to find the reason why regsvr32 is not working.
