4 Answers

I have a Philips LCD TV 37PF7320A/37 - No picture and no sound. It clicks than blinks green once, then red once, then four more times red. What error code is it? Power supply? Seems to be a common issue with this set. Fuses on power supply board are ok. I need a service manual and a diagrams... and help of course...

We have had our 37" LCD for 1 year and 2 mths. Of course our warranty was for 1year! No pic, no sound. Just a flashing red light.

I also have a Philips LCD TV 37PF7320A/37 - just like the previous post. I have no picture and no sound.
It clicks as if turning on and the green light comes on for about 2 seconds. Then another click occurs and the green light goes out and a red light starts cycling; one long and 4 short blinks. The red light cycles like this until I turn the TV off. Philips tech support tells me it's an error code but they also tell me they don't know what the error code means. Can anyone provide some insight on how to repair or what this error code means? Thanks.

I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsun. Know to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. It will be the PCB in the center of the set just above the Video/Audio conections. http://www.shopjimmy.com/power-supply-unit-lj44-00118a-from-philips-50mf231d-40.htm. Link to a photo of the PCB. Make a note of the location of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check a Fuzzes first I believe their are 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. Part # http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=493-1754-ND. Total cost was $7 with S/H.

Screen goes black but still sound

I have the model Philips 37PF7320A/37 won't turn on and MOST articles on the Internet say it's the Capacitors capictors capictors..I checked all of them. My tv just blinked red lights, had the clicking sound at first power on, but then goes black. No sound. No picture. Nothing. Just blinking red lights.

MINE WAS RESISTOR no. 3318 , a 100 OHM RESISTOR ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD.

I BOUGHT REPLACEMENT FOR .99 CENTS SOLDER IT, AND EVERYTHING WORKED!!!

THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK.

JUST A SUGGESTION..
1. CHECK FOR BULGING CAPACITORS (90 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM)
2. THEN CHECK FOR RESISTORS WITH MULTIMETER ( FALLS INTO THE OTHER 10 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM.)

TELL ME IF THAT HELPS..normanw1@yahoo.com

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif
And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.
