Brother has most of their drivers on their web site. However, the HL-1440 drivers are built into Win8. Plug your USB cable into your computer and the driver will load. You may need to use Windows Update and check the optional updates to find the driver. (If you use a parallel port (assuming one is on your computer, you will need to use the Add a Device wizard.)
