Question about HP Photosmart E327 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My Photosmart E327 won't switch on.

I've hardly used the camera, but now there's no sign of life when I put in new batteries and slide the front cover to the 'on' position.

    Hi,
thanks, but I've been through all the stuff on the HP website and it doesn't appear to be a simple re-boot problem. The camera has been used two or three times in two years, but HP are not interested. They basically said take it to the nearest service agent (100 miles away)!

Resetting the camera
If your camera does not respond when you press any
buttons, try resetting the camera as follows:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. If you have an optional memory card installed, remove it.
(Although removing an optional memory card is not
necessary for performing the reset, it eliminates the
memory card as a possible cause of the problem.)
3. Remove the batteries from the camera for 5 to 10
seconds.
4. Reinsert the batteries and close the Battery/Memory card
door.
5. After verifying that the camera works without an optional
memory card, turn off the camera and reinsert the card if
you have one.

Help me to turn on my camera to access my media card.

You do understand that to open the battery cover you slide it out and then up. To close the cover it must be in the out position when you close it and then slide the cover in. If the cover is broken you can put it in position and tape it shut.

How to remove write protected from my camera

It's not the camera, it's the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I got the e327 photosmart, and I jsut put in the 8gb sd card in the camera. Does not work. It wont even let me format the card at all. The screen turns on but I cant even take a picture. Can this camera...

The E327 works with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work in devices not designed to accept SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The camera was dipped into water and it was not functioning right now.

It could already be dead, water and electricity don't mix, but you could try this.

Take out the battery (If anything like this ever happens again, camera, mobile phone, anything electrical, remove batteries immediately).

Put it in a dry warm place, airing cupboard, over a radiator (but not on) for a few days to dry out the circuits, then put the battery in and try again.

If it doesn't show any signs of life then, I'm afraid its had it. But if you've accidental damage cover on your home insurance, you should be able to claim against that for a new one.

Please advise me or send a vedeo of how to open the back cover to insert the sim & battery of T7000 Padeng chinese tv mobile phone.

Please take as reference the rear camera, then slide the back cover to opposite direction of it, after the cover is removed, bellow the rear camera position there's a space where you can insert a finger to take out the battery, now the two SIM slots can be reached, insert your SIM(s) and put battery back into its slot, slide the back cover in direction to rear camera, a click confirms that the cover is set securely, now you only have to turn on you phone.

I cannot get the remote to work. I 've replaced the batteries and followed the manual. It doesn't work.

Try the controls on the tv to make sure the tv is working.

This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls.
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.
Special Note:
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the tv.

Hellow, i want to make my hp photosmart e327 camera a webcam . can i do it?( and if yes , how?)

You can't use the e327 as a webcam. It was designed to store images (and videos) to memory, not to stream live video to another device.
