Reset power when it 's plug in - HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Posted by on

  • reiserj Mar 08, 2009

The printer flashes the message "Reset Power", and all the lights flash. I can not print, copy, etc. I turn the power on and off, but the message still returns. I unplug the printer and plug it back in but the message returns.

Every once in a while it will work, and spit out my print document. But these are few and far between.

    What can I do?

As you are getting the error RESET POWER..
turn off the printer..unplug the power chord..connect the printer directly to the wall outlet..and then turn on the printer..if you are still getting the same error message..perform these steps..
1)unplug the power chord from the back of the printer..
2)press and hold the ON button..while pressing the ON button plug in the power chord to the back of the printer..
3)after you plug in the power chord do not release the ON button for 30seconds..
4)after 30seconds if the printer is off, go ahead and turn on the printer..
the solution should resolve the issue..if its still the same please get back would give you some more steps..

Please goto the HP website and see if there is a firmware update for this machine. Download and you can also download the procedure.

It seems to be that it's a controller issue and reinstalling the firmware will usually resolve the problem.

Hope can be some help
