When this happens to me (the needle breaking) I make it a thing to do and that is to use a qtip with a bit of oil and clean the bobbin holder and then use canned air and blow out the lint from area and this may help you. You may have a tiny tiny piece of needle left in the holder and this will play havoc with any kind of sewing machine. I have suffered through it many times before I made this a practice when needle breaks

In my Janome Memory Craft 3000 my material got pulled into the area where my bobin thread comes from. I pulled it out. Now my needle is dragging but not breaking on the white piece underneath where you...

I would suggest replacing the needle, make sure the needle is correct for the fabric and thread being sewed.
sometimes when the fabric gets caught in the feed dog area, there are different reasons, I'll list some below
fabric is too thin--needs stabilizer
top thread has some off the thread take up lever
bobbin is turned the wrong way in the bobbin case
needle is damaged--replace needle with correct size for fabric being sewed--and insert the needle correctly into the needle holder.
if these suggestions don't help, I also suggest having the machine checked to see if there is some other problem like timing.

After I broke a needle the threader won't thread the new needle. Does it only work with Janome needles or is something out of alignment?

Threaders only work with certain combinations of needle and threads. Too small an eye or too big a thread and its a no go. The book should give an idea of the combos you can do. Make sure the needle is inserted completerly up inside that needle clamp.

Thread is knotting up under the feed dog plate getting error LO.I tried removing the plateand cleaning and replaced bobbinholder and it is still jamming. is there supposed to be any play in the bobin...

It should move a little so the thread has clearence. If the thread is bunching underneath, it usually means the thread's not in the take-up lever or top tension is too loose. If you're needle has hit the bobbin case and created needle marks, the thread can get caught... in which you'd need to replaced the bobbin case.

Thread keeps breaking

Have you checked any edge the thread might contact for knicks which should be files or sanded down? Also, I had to replace my bobbin case after a number of years as it had kind of stretched out and allowed my bobbin to pop around and consequently broke many threads.

Problem with the tension when embrod.

lower your top tension down, as it is tighter then your bobbin thread and also tighten your bobbin thread, this is done by the small screw on the bobbin holder, also you can try using the older metal bobbins these are the ones with the small holes around the top and bottom shank, but please make sure that they are the larger size bobbin, and only go very slow at first, try just in sewing mode first or just wind it over by hand.

Thread is jamming and breaking and leaving knots on the back

Check the needle plate gap where the thread comes up from the Spool and the needle goes down.
This gets rough and damaged. Gently file out and buff.

Also check the hook assembly where the bobbin case goes, this also gets rough and will snag the thread. Rub up with FINE emery paper especially round the outside edge.

Janome 9000

I have a Janome 9000, was sewing and broke needle, replaced and broke another. I didn't have machine threaded, took out bobbin and would sew a little and stop saying thread broke. I took off top plate and started machine again, sew a little and stop saying thread broke. So I took out bobbin case and sewed again and stopped repeating the message. Everything looks OK, bobbin case and top plate. I guess I want to know if the timing could be off or do you think it is the computer part of the machine...Should I take it to the Sewing Machine Shop??
