It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer...... Blinking Stopped...........Issue Resolved....... Still Blinking: Remove both the Cartridges take a Paper Towel turn the catridges direction so that u can see a Copper plate with small boxes on it....... Just wipe it twice or thrice with the Paper Towel.......... Now insert it and Power on the Printer and see whether the Lights are still blinking if it is still blinking...... Contact Lexmark at 1-800-539-6275!!!!!

Good Luck!!!!!

SOURCE: Machine Unresponsive

HP Support:
Try resetting the unit by unplugging the unit while its on, then holding on the # and 6 keys plug the power back in an continue to hold the # and 6. The printer will power itself down, the reset is complete; turn it back on using the power button and attempt a copy.
If the unit has never been able to make a copy, it is likely that unit is defective.

SOURCE: Power button flashing on and off

Check to ensure there is nothing obstructing the paper feed mechanism down inside the printer where it is not easily seen.

Check and see if the encoder strip is in place:
Encoder strip rides in a sensor on the back of the cartridge carrier that you will not be able to see. Reach in with the first finger of either hand and carefully strum the strip as if playing a guitar. The strip will need to be lowered slightly and brought towards you slightly. Please be careful not to break the strip or your printer will not function. Once you believe the strip is set correctly, plug the power back and let me know if the lights are still blinking.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

SOURCE: I cannot get the power button on my Canon i9900

The most likely cause is the printhead has gone out. If you can get to it, you need to remove the printhead and try power again. If it comes on you need a new printhead, if you put the old one back in you could destroy the logic PCB.

Lexmark only connects to print server

Make sure that you have the right SSID and password for your network. Also, try to powercycle your router and printer. Just unplug the power for about 30 seconds then plug it back in.

If it still doesn't help, try to leave you network open without any password and check if the printer is able to connect. If it does, check if the wireless standard is set to b/g/n. If it is, set it to b/g.

X4530 InkJet Printer: printer won't turn on. Don't have ink cartridges i...

The printer should turn on even without the cartridges yet. Try this. Make sure the power cord is plugged in straight to the wall. Bypass any surge device or power strips. Unplug the power supply from the printer. It's the black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in. With the power cord still plugged in to the power supply, the LED around the contacts should lit solid green. If not, make sure the power cord is properly secured. If this does not help, you may have a defective power supply. If it does, insert it back in the printer in the correct position. Plug it hard just to make sure. If it does not power on automatically, press the power button. If this does not help either, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance. Thanks.

How do i change the language on my lexmark x4690 printer

Unplug the power supply(the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached). Hold down the Cancel and the Start buttons firmly while plugging back the power supply in the printer. Continue holding down the 2 buttons until Language Selection appears on the screen on the printer. Choose your preferred language. Hit Ok. Hope this helps.

Hello. Hope you got working already. But if you're still having the problem, unplug the power supply (the small black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached) with the other end still plugged in to a known working power outlet. Look around the black box, it should have a green LED on around the silver contacts. If not, properly secure the power cord by unplugging and plugging it back in. Otherwise, you got a defective power supply. Try not to use extensions or power strips, plug printer straight to the wall power outlet or plug it to a different known working power outlet. If the power supply is working fine, plug it back in the printer in a correct position. Properly insert it and make sure it pushed all the way in the printer. If you're still getting all blinking lights once plugged in, your printer might be damaged by the the lightning strike. If that's the case, you can call Lexmark and ask for assistance with that. Well, these are the troubleshooting steps you can do to determine where the problem is. Good luck!

PRINTER READY , BUT WONT PRINT

Try unplugging the printer (both the power and the USB cable), plugging the power and USB cable back in, and restarting the computer. Sometimes this solves the problem.

Problem with printer all buttons flashing

All lights flashing is an error indication. to learn the problem you'll need a service manaual. The procedure is to hit the Continue button twice - see which lights flash (secondary code) and consult the manual. Then repeat that step and look up the final code (tertiary code) in the manual. This should be the problem.

No power lights

I had the same problem and here is how I fixed it. Well, it's not really fixed but I circumvented the problem. I had my 4L unplugged for months because I was using an Okidata for a while. When I plugged in the 4L it wouldn't power up anymore. It worked when I put it storage, but not now. I tried plugging it in and out so much I got to the point where I was going to toss it. No help on line, nothing in the manuals. AHhhhh!
Then on a hunch I tried this...
I plugged the thing in and let it sit for hours. Then I unplugged it. After some time (hours) I plugged it back in and let it sit for hours. Then unplugged again for hours. Then plugged back in and I saw all the lights flash for a brief moment, but then they all went off. I just kept repeating this (it will take at least a whole day or more), and eventually when I plugged it back in it came to life. At this point DON'T UNPLUG IT!
Now...I was able to duplicate this fix because I recently moved and the thing was unplugged again for a few days. Plugged it back in at my new house and guess what, yea..same problem, but I went through the same procedure and it worked again.
Now it will not be unplugged.

I too ran into this problem. Printer is about 2-1/2 yrs old.
Using it as a network device. I updated firmware from
a Mac OS X computer on the network.

a. Uploaded the firmware by going to lexmark site.
Do this first in preparation of upgrading firmware.
Follow instructions to get firmware update.
b. power cycle the printer (turn off & unplug power from unit)
c. power printer and turn switch back ON.
happily printer stays alive long enough to upload the new
firmware update.
d. Log on to your printer via a computer on your network
Open a browser, address will be your printer's IP address
or dns name. ex: http://192.168.1.3 (note: if you password
protected the account, you will need that info)
e. Follow menu to Configure -> Update Code where you will
"browse" to the file on your local computer (ex:
LSSTN234.FLX) and then hit the FLASH button
