Broken RCA / phono jack - where to find new part?

I physically broke the left channel RCA input jack on my 1000/1 amp. The jack broke off of the PCB into many pieces. As a temporary fix, I soldered my RCA cable directly to the PCB and everything works fine for now. But I'd like to clean it up and reinstall a new RCA jack, but I can't find the correct part at mouser or digikey. Can anyone help me find a part number for the RCA jacks?

You can buy Panel mount RCA (Phono) jacks at Radioshack, I think a 4 pack is less than 5 bucks, That should take care of your problem.

Good Luck,

What can be connected to te audio output jacks on the back of this set?

You didn't include make and model TV; so only generalized answers are possible.

Typical RCA phono jacks like those shown in the blue box of the stereo amplifier below:

25998201-ac5bgneb45fvu53muoueauti-3-0.jpg will accept cables to connect to other audio devices. The audio RCA jacks are color coded RED (right) and WHITE (left) for low level stereo signals. Some have YELLOW jacks for Standard Definition video, ORANGE jacks for AC3 Digital audio and newer amps have HDMI jacks.

Connect the TV's audio OUTPUT jacks and a stereo pair of unused audio INPUT jacks on the amplifier with cables that have ends that match each. Turn on the stereo & TV and select the input on the amplifier that matches the stereo pair of inputs you used to connect to the TV. Adjust the volume to hear the audio over your stereo system's speakers.

Use the HDMI or AC3 sources for superior audio - including 5.1 (or better) Dobly Digital when possible. Otherwise, a standard 2 channel stereo program will be heard.

I hope this helps & good luck!

I need to know how to hook up Sony amplifier ta-ax 295,Sony tuner st-jx 295, sony cassette tc-w295 with a RCA 5 disc CD player and a Samsung DVD/ video CD/CD player in stereo. It always worked when my...

There are a number of amplifiers in the TA series, but the connections are basically the same.
In your system, the amplifier serves as master control. How do you know? Look for the component that offers input selection -tuner, cassette, CD, video, phono and probably auxiliary. Every other component plugs into and is controlled by the integrated amplifier. For example, plug the tuner wires from the tuner output to the amplifier input marked "Tuner." To use the tuner, just select that input from the front panel. Same with all the other components.

On the back of that unit will a bunch of RCA jacks for left and right channels. Take the hook-up wires, usually RCA cables with colored plugs on each end, and connect the OUTPUT jacks on each separate component to the INPUT jacks on the amp. Power may also be controlled from the amp. On audio plugs, red is right and white is left. Keep the polarity constant as you connect each component. Connect the speaker wires to the speaker outputs, usually spring clips or screw terminals on the amplifier end and the same on each speaker. The DVD video cable will have three wires: Yellow, red and white. Yellow is always video. It may also have a little round video connector for S-VHS which provides a much better picture when using DVD.
Select your desired input and enjoy the show. Service Manual free download schematics datasheets eeprom bins pcb...

Sony MHC-GX250 RCA jack panel

Unless the jacks have physically broken, replacing them is not the solution to the problem. Generally if both channels are dead, then you will find that a pre-amp IC has failed. This can be found by simply following where the jacks enter the PC board then following the circuit till they go into an IC.

I HAVE NO CABLE BETWEEN TUNER AND AMPLIFIER

Normally you should have a stereo "line" connection. The cable consists of a pair of "RCA male connectors" on each end of the cable, "RCA" is the style of the connectors, usually one red and one black or white on each end.. "Line" refers to the type signal and voltage level of the signal. The tuner should have a pair of output jacks labeled as such and also labeled Right and Left. The power amp should have similar jacks labeled "tuner input" or "tape in", "phono in" etc. don't use phono or "mic in" if that is a choice. Use tuner in or tape in. Connect the same colors to the same channel on each unit, ie, red to right and black to left on each unit. On the amp you may have the option to select the input source. Select the one you are using for the tuner. Turn on the tuner and the amp and listen. Good Luck.

Hook up an iPod to Beosound2000 system??

There is an Aux input on the B & O. you can connect the I-pod to through this input. You will need a 3.5mm phono to 2 RCA cable connector. The phono jack goes to the I-pods headphone socket and the RCA ( Red & White ) jacks goes to the B & O Aux input.bobhifi_28.jpg

How do I connect my samsung mm-c330 micro hi-fi system to my computer

If you want to amplify the sound you will probably need an adapter. You will use the audio output jack on your computer to an input jack on your receiver. There are usually several different inputs on a receiver but most use RCA phono plugs. The best choice input jack one the receiver is the one that says "AUX". You can buy the adapter cord at any Radio Shack. You will need to be sure to ask for a 1/8 inch stereo phone plug to two RCA phono plugs. This will split the stereo signal into left and right channels for your receiver.

How to wire a numarkdm1600x amp

Power amplifiers usually has only single input RCA input left "white" right "red". The preamp has plenty of input and output jacks, the proper connection is the one labeled "PREOUT" which usually located far from the group of rca jacks "PHONO,TAPE MON. REC OUT" etc. try it, it doesn't harm anything

Cambridge A5 Amp, only one speaker works when phono selected

If both speakers work okay on other inputs .Then cable from pre-amp to amp and main amp are okay. If phone RCA jacks go directly to electronics board .Then its possible solder on phono jacks need to be resoldered or other connections in that section. If unit needs repair you can also purchase a phono preamp from radioshack hook up your and use it on other good inputs such as CD etc..Please note PHONO inputs are only for turntables .If a non turntable input such as CD,TAPE,TV Etc is used on PHONE .Then you will overdrive this input .

One channal does not work

swap your RCA's input to the amp. Does the channel that works switch to the other side? If so, then the problem is either your rca wire, or in your source unit. (try the wire first). If the same channel still is out, then problem in the amplifier or speakers. Move to swaping the speaker wires, right to left, and left to right... If problem same, then trouble is AMP, if problem moved, then trouble is speaker. If amp, remove amp, troubleshoot amp... (there are 3 basic parts to any amp... Power supply, input section, and amplifier section...) You know it's not the power supply because the sound is good on at least one channel, and most alll amps use one power supply for all channels, so if one channel sounds good, then you can rule out the power supply. Second, when an amplifier fails (usually, 90% of the time or more) it will result in a shorted output transistor or some other nasty condition that will blow a fuse, or toast a supply almost instantly, and again, your amp powers up, so odds are that the amplifier section of the amp might be ok. (no guarantee here, it's just the odds...I'd say it's like a 40/60 thing.... This leaves you to focus on the input section. First rule out the simple things... bad wiring, (rca, or speaker), bad speaker, bad source. Then rule out the simple things at the amp... broken rca input connectors (inside the amp at the PCB where the solder is) or outside the amp, where the jacks may have been crushed. Then rule out broken speaker terminals, where they can be cracked inside at the board where the solder is in the same way. After all this, you need your amp serviced by a qualified tech.
