Re: how do i connect my denon RC7000CI to denon amp. 2801
I cannot access the setup menu on the unit display or via the s-video monitor out -- everything was working fine a few days ago. I have reset micro, unplugged all night, reset again, and still cannot get to the menu in order to correct connections, esp for digital. My problem is on the avr5600 but seems like this happens on many of the denon units

You need a 3,5mm male stereo connector to RCA male jacks (see attached image). Plug the 3.5mm jack to your iPhone and the RCA jacks (red & white or red & black) to your Denon Receiver's CD in or Tape 1 or 2 PB (at the rear of the unit). Then select the input where you plugged the RCA to (front of receiver: CD / Tape-2 / Tape-1). Hope this will help.
Just moved and got mine hooked up last week. Was working great and now I can't get anything. The reassuring "click" I've always heard when I switch between inputs is gone. Anyway enough about my issue, what specifically are you having trouble with?
replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the
exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it
powered up and stayed on and worked perfect. these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality. this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.
The Denon AVR-2801 receiver outputs the "on-screen" menu and interface with priority to the S-VIDEO output of the unit.
If you have any S-VIDEO cables plugged in, you will need to navigate to the appropriate S-VIDEO input on your television/monitor to be able to see the on-screen menus.
If you need additional help, please feel free to leave a message here and here is a link to the manual that explains the menu and on-screen functions in more depth. Especially see the "notes" section on page 14. I have had several of these Denon amps and the only input I could get the "on-screen" menu was the S-VIDEO MONITOR input.
