How to reset pass word for window xp

A lot of times Windows XP installations do you have a password set for the administrator account. When you first boot up the machine, instead of trying your username and password, try using the username "Administrator" with a blank password. If that works you can go to the control panel and reset the password for your user account.
Otherwise you can try using the offline NT registry editor. A great video showing its use can be found here. You can also use OPHCrack found here. Both of this have a slight risk for data loss so proceed with caution if you choose to that route. If you have any further questions about the process, let me know.

My GX520 pwr light is green, on the board is an amber Led, the somputer boots up, it goes the full process, until the arrow appears on the monitor. no Iconn are displayed on the desktop

If your computer gets to that stage, then I would guess you have an OS ( Operating System ) problem. Try booting from your XP installation CD. If that works then you may have to re-install Windows.

I have a problem of a massege on my desktop software counterfiet. After read a solution on similar problem, there is word asked tobe rename and delete.I tried locate the word GWATRAY EXE.please help.

The Windows Genuine Advantage process (Wgatray.exe) is a Windows XP application that checks the validity of your copy of Windows. You will notice a recurring message that reads, "This copy of Windows is not genuine" if the Wgatray.exe finds your system to be inauthentic. After a while, these messages become a nuisance. You can easily block the process and return to your normal computer activity.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions

    Run Task Manager
  1. 1

Click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen. Click "Run" and type "taskmgr" in the dialog box. Click "OK."

  2. 2

Open the "Processes" tab and highlight "wgatray.exe."

  3. 3

Click "End Process." Exit the Task Manager.

  4. Remove the Files
  5. 1

Open the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Navigate the following folder paths:

    C > Windows > System 32

    C > Windows > System > dllcache

  6. 2

Right-click and delete the "wgatray.exe" file.

  7. 3

Open the Recycle Bin and click "Empty the Recycle Bin."

  8. Run Registry Editor
  9. 1

    Click "Start" and open "Run."

  10. 2

Type "regedit" in the dialog box and click "OK."

  11. 3

Navigate the follow registry path on the left panel of the window:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft >

Windows NT > CurrentVersion > Winlogon > Notify

  12. 4

Delete the folder "Winlogon." Exit the Registry Editor.

Forgot power on pass word

Hi,

This is only possible is you are using Windows XP. If your operating system is windows Xp, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on your computer and allow it get to the stage where is will ask for user/log pasword
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del your keyboard.
  3. A user name and password prompt will pop up.
  4. On the user name type in "administrator
  5. On the password, type in "administrator"
  6. and you windows will open, go to control panel from there to change the password.
That's all. In other words, the user name and password is administrator.

But in the case of windows Vista, you will have to re-run windows operating system, because vista security is very tight and its difficult to break into its password.

Take care.

Loading win xp gives message script file cleanvirus.vbs not found

Disable System Restore. Scan your computer with the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
http://malwarebytes.org/
If you don't have an Anti-Virus program, download Avast and scan.
http://www.avast.com/
If both scans don't detect anything, do this..
Ctrl-Alt-Del > Processes - End the following processes in order:
dxdlg.exe
wscript.exe
Start > Run > regedit - Open the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
In the right hand pane, select Userinit and delete everything except C:\windows\system32\ userinit.exe

Make sure the processes wscript.exe and dxdlg.exe are not running.

Delete the following files
C:\Windows\System32\dxdlg.exe
C:\Windows\System32\boot.vbs
In your Windows drive, search for boot.vbs and delete all of them.
In your Windows drive, search for kinza.exe and delete all of them.
Enable System Restore.
Restart your computer.
