Thanks for your response, I tried it and nothing still. The problem is that the only icon i see is found under my computer. I do not see it in my tool bar or even under programs. When I do go to programs there is a selection that says Logitech. Once i put the mouse over it the only application that it shows is called Desktop Messenger. Something I have never seen before. I'm supposed to see the Orbit webcam icon at least right? I have installed and reinstalled both using the CD rom it came with and i have searched it online to ensure I am using the correct software. Nothing. Also please not that after I have unistalled everything and i simply plug in the Orbit camera the computer does not recognize it. It says I have new hardware and once i try to click or even right click nothing happens. I use windows xp proffecional if that makes a difference. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Have you tried updating the
    Logitech Quick cam software?

    Right Click on “Logitech
QuickCam” on the taskbar. Choose “Check for Updates”. Restart after installing.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    VJ

Hi,

It could be that the drivercache on the computer is acting up. Here is the link for the software from the website http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/480/3384&cl=in,en?softwareid=3445&osid=1
1. Unplug the webcam
2. Uninstall any Logitech softwareif any currently on the computer
3. Restart the computer.
4. Download the file from thelink above (85 Mb)
5. Install the software, during the installation it will prompt you to plugin the webcam. ONLY pluginthe webcam at this point.
If all goes well it shouldinstall.

If this too fails then youwould have to manually force install it from the device manger. Would require alittle bit more effort.

Hope this helps.
Cheers!
VJ

You can change zoom directly on the webcam( round left or right the objective ). The contrast and the brightness you can change from the webcam's capture software. You must install the driver you received with the camera.

No camera detected on this computer

First go to Control Panel, Hardware, Devices and look for your webcam. Go through the tabs to make sure it is Enabled. If you do not see the webcam in the list, right click on the white space and select Show disabled devices. If you still don't see your webcam then you will need to reload the software drivers, either from disc or this link on the Logitech website. Once you think you have it working you may want to reboot your computer, and then try the free webcam test tool.

My webcam zoomed in for some reason how do I zoom out?

Connect your webcam
Launch the Logitech toolbar from your desktop shortcut or from 'All programs' > Logitech > Logitech webcam software (folder) > Logitech webcam software (webcam icon)
With the toolbar launched - click on the 'Quick Capture' menu ( 2 photo frames picture) and your webcam will start
With the webcam still running click on the 'Settings' menu (2 gear wheels)
Your zoom control will be easily seen and adjustable by ramping the slider up or down.

Normal 0 How much memory is installed in your computer? The camera uses quite a bit of your memory to operate properly and would cause the poor video. Could be other
Issues, but worth checking.
Hope this helps. Bud
