Seat Unit Dropping Down the Chassis

I bought a second hand Stokke Xplory from ebay. i spent €650 for the stroller. basically it is in immaculate condition. everything else works fine except for the seat unit that keeps descending down. it can only maintain at the highest position without a baby in the seat. when i put in my baby, the seat unit will start dropping down the chassis to the lowest height. what should i do? how do i fix this problem? please advise. thanks!

Stokke has been contacted about this problem a few times and they offer a replacement piece that you insert yourself so that the system does not descend and it will be secured tighter. Just call them or email them...they are very good about helping you out with these problems even if your stroller is second-hand or no longer under warranty. Their Customer Service is amazing!

I own a Stokke Xplory Stroller too...and although I have not had this problem...I know about it.

I have a 3rd hand stokke and they sent me the replacement part after I emailed them. But I never installed it because sticking a dime in there (behind the piece you lift to slide the chair up and down) worked fine. It's been in there for about 6 months with no more sliding.

I am having the exact same problem - except Stokke is NOT being helpful and said they no longer are sending out this part. My only recourse now is to send the entire stroller in for an "out-of-warranty-repair". Did the dime trick continue to work for you? I am very unhappy with Stokke right now.

Yup, I actually lost the piece because I was too lazy to take out the dime. It's long gone now of course and in the hands of a new family.

May you share with us how you put a dime in there? I tried, but not lock very well, because my baby is too heavy and the seat down when I put her in it. Do you have photo?

How to use a stokke stroller on sand

Hi,
All you need to do is put the stroller on two wheel mode. Leaving the seat attached, place your thumb on the white plastic (if the newer model) clip that you engage to close the chassis, and your fore finger underneath the catch below, then place your foot on the secondary lock below (this is just what you would do to fold the chassis) then push the back wheels forward, you can then pull the chassis along with you across the sand or any rough terrain.
Hope this helps.

Stokke Xplory replacement parts

Hi,

If you contact http://www.stokke.com/en-gb/contact-us.aspx you should be able to purchase this part. This is called the bumper bar and attaches in front of the seat unit.
ALternatively, any retailer that stocks Stokke products should be able to order this for you.

I hope this helps.

Packing Stokke Travel Bag with the Chassis - bassinet

Hope I can help you out with this...for me it was quite easy once you get the hang of how to fold the stroller system at the smallest possible fold. You have to have the seat at the lowest position, next you fold the front wheels inward so that it is flat against the stroller, then fold the handle all the down toward the stroller frame so that it is flat. NOW you have the stroller at the smallest fold. Remove the SEAT from the Stroller frame and place it on top of the stroller (FYI - the adjustable foot plate should still be attached to the SEAT and it fits directly ontop of the 2 metal pieces that protrude from the stroller that you normally instert the seat into)
NOW it will fit inside the Stokke Travel Bag.
