Question about Insignia Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with USB Bluetooth Adapter

1 Answer

Bluetooth NS-BTHDST won't turn on

Alright, in the manual thing it says to turn on headset press and hold multifunction button for more than 3 seconds. It also says to go into pairing mode to press and hold the multifunction button for more than 6 seconds.

It was working fine until today; I press the button for 3 seconds and it instantly goes into pairing mode now for no reason. I tried holding it longer and shorter but nothing works.

I tried to use the headset reset thing but I'm pretty sure it didn't work. I plugged it in and pressed both of the volume buttons but nothing happened so I'm assuming that it did not reset itself.

If you have any suggestions please post em! Thanks in advance!

1- Plug the charger into a power outlet and connect the headset
2- Press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time for resetting the device.

To Insignia: Please provide a line covering/linking this problem in Troubleshooting section of the manual, too. I found it in the Resetting section on page 22.

The following are for TB-20EL model. But it works in general for plantronics as well. For step 3 make sure your headset is in pairing mode. When you hold the button 6-8 sec, it should turn either solid blue or blink.
for tb-20el:
1. ensure that your phone's bluetooth feature is on
2.Ensure that the headset is off(press and hold button on your headset (called multifuntcion button) for 2-4 sec, teh indicator light will flash red)
3. press and hold the multifunction button for 6-8 seconds until the indicator light alternately flashes blue and red
4. set your phone to find new device
5. Ente rpin '0000' (four zero) then press OK or yes
6. this should complete the pairing.

Please rate. This is how we (advisor/problem solvers) get people to know...we know what were doing. Thanx
1.First make sure your phone is off. Do this by pressing and holding the Multifunction button (the one that flashes blue) for 4 seconds. For "OFF" it will flash blue and red along with a series of 2 tones. Then will stop flashing. For turning "ON" hold multifunction button for 4 seconds and it will flash BLUE 4 times and 1 tone indicating it is on. It will continue to flash every 3 while in stand-by mode and every 8 seconds while on a call. 2.Set your phone in "Discover mode" make sure you look at your manual on how this is done if don't know how. Usually found under Bluetooth settings. 3.Making sure your headset if off. Press and hold the Multi-Function button until the indicator light turns solid blue (hold for approximately 8 seconds). THE MULTIFUNCTION BUTTON WILL BE LITE ONLY HALF BLUE INDICATING PAIRING MODE. 4. You phone will find and ask to pair. How do you pair your Insignia Headphones/ Headset with a PS3? It is called an insignia NS-BTHDP/NS-BTHDST. In the instructions it only talks about pairing it with a computer. Can someone help me?

Go to Accessory Settings on your PS3.Then go to mange bluetooth devices and hit register new device. while doing this take your headset and put it in discovery mode. You do this by holding the power button and the it alternates between blue and red lights. It should work after that.

To test it go to audio device settings and see if it shows up.
