You need to update your soundcard drivers in order for you to fully use your soundcard hardware. If you have the driver installation disk with you install it, . But if you don't have it, go to your soundcard website and download it from there. Have a nice day!
Hi there, in order for you to chcek if there is sound car installed in your system. Click on control panel then go to system then click device manager then search for sound devices. if theres none and you see unknown device with exclamation point on it (!) that could be your soundcard. all you need to do there is to install the soundcard driver. you can download the driver at www.lenovo.com if its a thinkpad PC. thanks!
is it onboard? or a separate card? if its a separate card have it installed with the software of the soundcard. or if you dont have please check the model and try to look in internet where you can find the software for the soundcard, if its on board try to look for the cd installer of your motherboard it is bundled in there. hope this help you out
Try manually installing it by using the Add New Hardware wizard. Make
sure all other soundcard(s) are deleted from Device Manager first, though.
Another thing you can try- Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, remove/delete any and all instances of sound card hardware you find, reboot and see if Windows re-detects.
