Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

Need Dell All-in-One printer 924 to work with Inspiron 530S.

I installed my printer software in my new computer, but nothing happens whenever I press print. As far as I know, I've connected everything properly. Please tell me what to do to get my printer working with this new computer!

    Yes. It's the windows version. It does not say that it's specifically for that version of windows.

    My computer is the Windows Vista version of windows. When I checked the control panel under Printers it has my Dell 924 printer there.

    What Operating system are you useing and how are you hooking the printer to your computer. When you look at installed printers, does it show you dell 924?

    No. It had to specifically say Win Xp or Win VISTA or Win 98.




    From the Del link below/ Look up your VERSION of windows,download the driver for that version and install the driver.
    Seei f that wil make a difference. It almost always does.

Are you trying to use the print key on your keyboard? If you are you will have to down load some software to get that key to work. The print key does not function in the windows software without an add on.
If you aren't getting it to print by useing the print function of the program you are using that is a different story. First go to your printer on the control panel and right click your printer. You should then see the print que for your printer. Open a program that you want to print form (Word, etc.) and brining up a document. Go to the print function for that program and hit print and make sure your printer is selected, them follow the instructions to print this document. When you opened this program, your print que went to the command line at the bottom of your screen. As soon as you print your document, click on the print que and see if the document went into the que, and then see if it goes away. If it does, the the software is working correctly. If it goes away and does not print, you should get and error the the document did not print. Are you getting such and error?
It is very important to verify your printer is the one selected when the print screen comes up.
If this does not work, again bring up the print que, under printer on the print que click on properties and try to do a test page. If that does not print, again did you get a popup the says the job did not print?
Another thought, on the print que, check under Document and make sure pause is not checked. This will keep your printer for printing.

If it doesn't say it is specifically for VISTA then it is not for VISTA.. Even if it does show up on the computer ,that just shows that some driver for that model printer is installed. Not necessary one that will work. Go to the weblink that I gave you. Download the VISTA drive and update the driver, using the one you downloaded ,and that will most lkely fix the problem.

Some computers do not come with dvd software installed.Do you have a dvd drive installed?If no software for dvd installed you can also use windows media player or realplayer to play dvds.Click start button,control panel then autoplay.Under dvd movie choose player you like to use and click save.Try inserting dvd again to check for playback.

Inspiron 530s software problems


Try system restore if it works normally after this also turn system restore off and back on again as the problem could also lie in system restore information.

My Dell Inspiron 530 was set up two days ago and worked fine until I tried using it this evening. The fan is running and nothing happens when I click the mouse.


For that open cpu cabinet.
Refix RAM memory.Reattch both connection to harddrive.
Then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Then go to start menu->run or press windows key + R key so you can see run type in run "chkdsk /r" then press "y" then restart computer then it fix errors on harddrive.
Also scan your computer with updated antivirus.

Z55 printer working with Dell Inspiron 530s


I have LexmarkZ55 printer which I have been using for years then all of sudden it stated that printer is not communicating with the computer and somthing wrong with the cable. I bought new one it still not printing.
