Will not recognize C:drive

I suspect the C drive has lost its letter due to corrupt files etc. Remove the drive and with a USB cadapter run the drive on another Win7 machine. Go to Control panel, Adminastrative tools and then Computer Management. Check to see if your drive is showing and if there is no letter, add a letter. It should then boot again. If not replace the hdd and copy what you are able to, back over to the new hdd.

No cam no audio

sounds like some drivers are missing. go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager and look for yellow question mark indicating a trouble spot. click on it. it may ask you to reinstall drivers, etc. if none of this works go to computer site such as { microsoft.com} use name of your computer, and search for drivers to download. However all of these drivers should be located in the onboard computer recovery program. I think its control and F8 or F12 on startup varies by computer.it may even be in your program file. { Rule of thumb for all computers- Never delete anyting you didn't install, and even then only if you must.} Good Luck !

I forgot my log in password and i can't open the windows .i try to press F8 and enter in safe mode but it goes to the login first also . my emachines with windows 7

Windows Login Password Recovery is right what you need in your case. The password recovery tool is designed to reset Windows login password once you accidentally forgot it or have no access to your system including Windows 7, Vista, XP etc. By burning a bootable CD, you can enter almost any computer with Windows administrator login password protected within a few seconds. Here are the step by step tutorial, pretty easy, I am sure you can handle it!

Step 1: Download Windows Password Recovery and install it on another computer.
Step 2: Prepare a blank CD/USB and run the software and use it to burn the ISO file to it.
Step 3: Put it into the CD-ROm and restart your locked computer. Change the BIOS setting of your locked computer to make it boot from the CD-ROM or USB drive. Note: start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup
Step 4: Boot your locked computer from the created disk and remove your forgotten password. GOOD LUCK!

The touchpad is so sensitive I can't control it

You've got it, your touching the touch pad, annoying isn't it.

You can try a couple of things,

1) Go to Start - Control panel - Mouse/Touch panel - and see if you can reduce the sensitivity or,

2) Disable your touch pad (Same route) and use an ordinary mouse instead. That's what the wife does.

Personal settings

If you remember the exact date of the update you can uninstall it. If using XP, go to control panel and add/remove programs. there's a check box at the top to include updates in the list. Just scroll through the list and remove the update that made the changes.

Computer locked up and can't get into anything

Try starting in safe mode and remove the offending program.

  1. Start the laptop
  2. After the Dell Screen vanishes begin pressing F8
  3. You will get a Windows Startup Screen
  4. Select SafeMode and press enter twice
  5. Windows should load up
  6. Go into Control Panel Add Remove Programs
  7. Remove the anti virus software and anything else you suspect maybe causing grief.
  8. Restart the laptop normally and see what happens.
  9. Hopefully by now you will be able to go back and do the factory imaging.
