Is the indicator light come on ? Does it blink when you switch it on ?

-   vizio 42 in lcd, picture went out followed shortly by loss of sound. power indicatot (vizio insignia on front) shows unit turned on-   Guest

check internal fuses on the power supply board --- sometime you can disconnect all cables and power and wait about one day -- re connect and everything works alright -- if this doesnt fix your problem -- you might replace the power supply board -- the bad part will be on the board and I dont anyone that repairs a single part - they replace the whole board
