I think I understand what you are saying. The project is my kids shcool documentary history assignment. Video portion is a combination of still photo shots and one-on-one interviews. The missing audio for the video is for the interviews, but the audio is also missing for the still shoots (pictures), but we don't want it to be heard (that's a good thing). We have also included a narration for the non-interviewed section and a soundtrack for about 25% of the documentary, which is 10 minutes long. I hope this helps. It's due on March 5, I a have been trying to fix the problem for over a week now. My fear is I have to redo the entire video.

Check the editing bar if it plays there fine. I think the location where that bit of video or audio changed or is missing, you need to be more specific

Shortcut for exporting multiple tracks

While not mentioned in the manual (page 68 dealing with usb export) you can indeed select multiple tracks to export to the fat partition at once. Under the 'wav in/out' menu item on the 'usb export' you'll see a track list. Simply press the 'insert' button next to any tracks you want to export and a check mark will be placed next to the track which flags it for export. When you press enter it will export all the checked tracks as wav files to the fat partition.

EZ Audio Converter does not export files to iTunes

I've had exactly the same problem, and so far no resolution from Ion. A small bit of good news: the .wav files are on the hard drive, although without any track info. At least on Vista, they are in username/AppData/Local/Temp. The files are name Temp0, Temp1, Temp 2, ...

You can use iTunes to add these files (File/add file) and then convert them to .mp3s, or whatever format you prefer. Or you could convert them first using the tool of your choice, such as Audiograbber.

This is inconvenient, but a lot better than re-ripping the vinyl after EZVinyl hangs.

Can't capture just audio with no video

Capture it as a standard video clip (with audio), then export the audio track out of Final Cut. If you export as 48 KHz, 16-bit stereo, then there should be no loss in quality as the output is the same as the captured input.

In reading and working with the unit, I have learned that the file transfer is for backup only. If you want to manipulate the file they have to be transferred individually via your sound card or an interface.
