Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Wont charge...sometimes wont turn on....very fickle as to when it wants to work and when it wont...if I repeatedly plug it in and out of my computer I then may be able to get it to turn on but it is rare I can get it to keep a charge.

Did you try plugging it in to a different usb port?
if so it sounds like your mp3 players hardware has an issue. you might want to take it in to exchange it, if it is still under warranty. if not you might want to buy a new one. as they don't really sell replacement parts for them.

hope this helped.
please rate well

Its not charging well, this means the charger is not giving the dc capcity that it needs.try another charger and let me know what happen? if you did this means the internal battery is becoming weak.

Best regards

Hey, hows warranty?
The battery is most likely almost dead, and there may be a connection problem on the usb plug, can you try another cable and see if it improves.
Also whats the brand and model of your device?

Check the USb connector , there may be a broken contact in there, also the internal battery may be faulty, how old is the player, and what model?

Ipod wont work

If it is under warranty still retrieve the serial number from the back of the iPod and call Apple to setup an appointment at your nearest Apple store to save you time. They only take appointments now that I know of.
If by resetting you mean by:
Holding down menu & play/pause?
If that doesn't work plug it into the computer, make sure you have iTunes installed and then try restoring it. And if THAT doesn't work, make sure you have the lastest iTunes, and firmware. Sometimes computers are a little iffy, if the connection noise is present and disconnected it could be the USB port. Sometimes on my phone/mp3 players it'll do that and they only liked to be plugged back into the same original port the USB driver was installed on. So if you plugged it through the front when it was working try that.

Wont charge

1.) Was the computer turned on and booted up?
*The USB ports provide no power under most computers when they are not on.

2.) Does the iPod work when plugged to the cable?
*If so then you more than likely have a faulty battery or port that is not allowing charging.

3rd generation wont turn on

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

Hope this helps :)

Magellan Maestro 4250 wont charge

No the device is not defective. magellan has this stupid usb interface problem preventing the unit from being charged and used at the same time, they do that so you have to use there charger. the unit will say usb connected and will not boot up like normal at all. unit will be locked up until the usb is unplugged. most usb devices charge at 5v with 500mA, and the magellan requires 5v 1A. Ipod Charger charges at the 1A with 5v but wont work
