The ringtone may be in a format that is not compatible with your phone. Change it to a default ringtone and see if it is louder.

Unfortunately, this is the problem with that Blackberry. I tried everything with mine and finally I had to buy something different so I could hear it in my work truck. There are plenty of blogs that talk about this same problem too. Sorry, I wish the news was better.

Its a common problem with the 7250. Try some of the loud tones in this package:

Turn your volume control button up.

Still not loud enough? My suggestion is to crank your ringer volume up with Bigasoft BlackBerry Ringtone Maker.
The handy solution costs only $9.95 and well worth it.
Search Bigasoft up on Google.

Ringer is set at max but is hard to hear

If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout.
Hope that was helpful?

My BB9000 is not loud enough. I selected the profile "loud" , selected the "classic ring tone phone", set the volume to 10 and I can hardly hear the ring tone. Thanks, Victor

Did you put your own ring tone on there? If so...it is not loud enough. I know this from previous experience. When you record one and drag into the mini sd card you have to do it very loud. You can use the recorder that comes with that phone and record one and then select it as the tone but make sure you get it close to the mike.

Hi how can i increase volume on my blackberry 9000. Even on high volume setting there is no ringtone sometimes

Hi there

On your Blackberry menu, there's an icon that resembles a person's head that represents profiles. In the profiles menu, you can select the volume for the notifications you receive when messages or calls come in. Choose "Loud" to hear all notifications at an equal volume, equivalent to the maximum output possible.

Some ring tones just remain less audible than others even when they're set to maximum volume. If you've tried increasing the volume of your notifications but still can't hear the ringer sometimes, try downloading a custom ringtone from the Blackberry App Store.

When selecting a custom ringtone, choose something distinctive and hard to ignore. When previewing the tone, determine whether it seems louder or easier to hear than your existing tone. Download more than one tone and experiment throughout the day.

After you've downloaded custom ringtones, set your phone to use these ringers by going into the applicable notification profile. Select "Show Tunes" and open the media folder where you've chosen to save your downloaded tones. Select the ringer you want and click "Set as Phone Tune."

I have a blackberry 8330 with no manual and my ringtones do not ring long enough and are not loud enough. Help.

I'm not sure if all berry's are the same but this is what mine does:

You can set the ring tone volumes under the "Profile" icon. When you set it to something like loud you can click the profile icon again and go to advanced and change the settings for that profile.

My ringtone volume sounds too low for a blackberry curve. And my friends have the same phone and its louder!Im mad this phone is brand new!!

Just_Bobz is correct and incorrect at the same time...

Not all blackberry curves are set up the same nor do they all have the same "theme" (layout)

For instance the T-mobile Blackberry Curve (8120) has a different theme and therefore the sound option is not in the upper right hand corner like the Alltel Blackberry Curve (8330) default theme.

My suggestion is to find the volume control icon on your curve (or the volume themes as I like to call them). When you click on the speaker icon you will have the options for the different volume themes such as Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, and Off. Click on whichever theme you will be using on a regular basis to activate it.

** Another area where Just_Bobz is incorrect… just because you have put the volume theme on Loud does NOT mean that the phone is on its loudest possible sound setting!!

If you go back into the volume themes, all the way at the bottom there is an Advanced option.. If you click on Advanced, highlight which ever theme says active next to it and click your trackball to open it ... you will then have the option to change the option for any and all alerts on the phone (ie email, phone, mms, sms, bbm. ect.) Under each of the different options there is ANOTHER sound option for low, medium, high, ect. (and there is an in and out of holster setting

SOO..

Just because your volume theme is set to Loud.. does not mean that the phone is truly set to loud!!

Ringtone volume

Have the place you bought have a look at it and at the smae time turn on te vibrate mode. No. there is no way you can put in louder speakers for now. If you did find one pls be wary that it would void the existing manufacturer's warranty
