Re: i purshased a kenmore refrig to send to middle east
What is their voltage, hertz? American made products are 110 volts 60 hertz/cycles. If voltage their is different, you may be able to find a converter......Just don't go plugging it in until you have all the information at hand. If I can help further, I am here....Eric Campion

the damper vent door between the 2 compartments is not opening to let cold air in from freezer to refrige, also make sure fan is also running to push cold air through this door,a lot of times its either frozen shut from moisture or the door shaft breaks and it jams shut or the damper door motor goes bad,its a 106.xxxxxxxx model so whirlpool produced it for kenmore
You need to pull the refrig out and remove the back panel , covering the compressor and fan . If the fan is not running , check for something caught in the fan blade . If nothing is found then replace the fan motor . Also make sure the coils at the bottom in front , are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc .
The fan , helps keep the compressor and the coils cool , including the ones behind the middle column .
You need to replace the water inlet valve behind the refrig where the wall water line connects to on the refrig . This is caused by not enough water going into icemaker . Called " hollow cubes " condition .
I would suggest calling sears repair ( this refrig is still under warrenty ) and have them come out to check . If they say it's normal , tell them you want the refrig replaced . You do have rights with a new product not working to your standards .
just called in a sears technician 150 dollar bill that was an easy fix.
he says my bottom freezer kenmore fridge with warm fridge problem was
due to the pathway being blocked by ice and garbage which is common
with these fridges. he took off cover from the fridge bottom and poured
boiling water down to the freezer. try that before you replace any
parts or call in a tech. next time im getting a top freezer because the
blower is on the top not in the middle with the bottom freezers and
thus more problem prone.
If you open the refrig door and the light comes on you have power.
Most likely the defrost timer has stopped working.
The timer is often located inside the refrigerator part of the unit, or under the remove-able face on the bottom of the frig.
You can manually advance the timer with a screw driver or a coin. The place that you advance the timer is a round object in the middle of the face of the timer. You must rotate this part of the timer. The design is such that you can only rotate the timer in one direction.
If you rotate this and the compressor motor begin to work then you can be sure the problem is the timer motor. Sometimes the wire breaks off the contacts that run the little motor inside the timer.
You can buy a new one and replace this quickly.
Do replace the timer if rotating the compressor starts. Rotating the timer is not a fix, it is only a test. The timer is designed to defrost the refrig Failure to have a defrost cycle is bad.
check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing,
check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting,
you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.
