Question about Xerox Phaser 8400 Laser Printer
Two days ago my HP LaserJet 3390 Printer was working perfectly. An hour or two ago my printer just went offline and I couldn't get it back online despite several attempts trying to reboot my WindowsXP PC.
Every time I reboot my PC, nothing changes and also the Online option on the menu when I right click does not show.
What should I do to bring it back Online?
SOURCE: printer offline
Open system properties (my computer --> right click --> properties) go to hardware tab and click device manager. expand the usb controller and see if there are usb printing support, if exist go to control panel --> printer and faxes. right click in your printer icon and select use printer online.
if you don't find usb printing support in device manager the problem is with your usb connector. try to change it and make sure the printer power is pugged correctly.

SOURCE: After one print, it goes Offline
Turn off the SNMP option in the TCP/IP printer port Properties
Right-click the printer, select properties
Select port tab, highlight port, click Configure Port
UnCheck SNMP status Enabled.
This fix was given to me from Xerox Tech support.

Press and hol the green 'go' button until the lights flash, (about 4-5 seconds) and release the button,
Wait for the config pages to print out, and then check your network configuration, i.p address, Subnet mask and gateway.
If no network page prints out, you might have a dead Network Interface in the printer.
