Question about Averatec 3200 Notebook
I was told that I need to delete the hard drive and use the recovery disk. My question is: does the order I delete things matter?
DON'T DELETE THE HARD DRIVE until AFTER you run a full virus scan & clean. You can get Avast antivirus for free. It updates daily, is very easy to use and works as good as the expensive ones. Run some spyware & malware checkers and get a registry cleaner. If ALL of these fail, then format the hard drive. Like jell said, make sure you get all of your data off first. After the format, it WILL BE GONE.

The recovery disc will do the deleting for you. Make sure you've got all of your data off before running it.
Post back if you have issues during or after the restore process.
