Question about Kenmore Dryers
Last two or three weeks ago the dryer take longer time to dry my regular loads. Now, the loads never gets dry, since there no heat at all. There are no error messages in display. The lint screen and vent are clean. Everything run but no heat. I followed the Tech Sheet came with the dryer and checked Thermal Fuse and high limit thermostat which were OK. During testing the Gas Valve, I noticed that the Resistance reading between terminal 4 to 5 was off frome the specs. The reading suggest in the Tech Sheet is 1220+ or - 50 but my read is 1308 which means 40 out of the range. Is this Gas valve OK? or I need to replaced. If the Gas Valve is OK, What is my next step? Replace the machine control electronics? I need help!!!!
Verify the glow bar ignitor is working. Also ohm it to specs before you replace a gas valve coil.
