VGA Data Sheet

The MS-7457 All-In-One Motherboard has an Option called VGA Out. The Motherboard has 14 Pin fixed Header, whereas the 14th Pin is Empty ie., in a Rectangular slot with totally 13 Pin, 2 Row array available. I am notsure about the Data Sheet and the Connection for VGA Out Connection. Please Help....

Need motherboard pin location power, hdd &

The eMachines W2828 uses an MSI MS-7061 motherboard. Also known as KM3M-V.

This is MSI Support, and the download page for the KM3M-V motherboard manual,

Left-click on the blue - M7061v1.2.zip - file name under the Download heading.

On the next page click on the country nearest yours.
A small window will come up.

Be sure the empty circle to the left of Save File, has a green dot in it.
If not, Left-click in the empty circle.
Now go below, and click on OK.

This is a Zip file. Zip files are used to send a large amount of information. The file is condensed.

If you do not have your downloads set to save to your My Documents folder, (Could also go to a sub-folder in My Documents>Downloads), this file will go to your desktop screen.

When you see the file name - M7061v1.2.zip, double-click right on it.
On the left side of the screen go up to the top, and left-click on - Extract All Files.
Follow the instructions of the Unzip Wizard.

Barring you have trouble downloading, or opening the file;

Orient the motherboard so the Processor is at the top, and Ram Memory slots are to the right.

Below the CMOS battery is a front panel header > JFP1

(Front Panel is the plastic front part of the computer, the Power On switch, Power On LED, and HDD LED are located)

There are three white PCI slots on the motherboard, below the Processor socket.
The last PCI slot that is closest to the outside edge of the motherboard, is PCI 3.

Below the PCI 3 slot is the AUD1 header. (Audio 1)

Below the right corner of the PCI 3 slot are two more headers.
JUSB1, and JUSB2
These two headers are combined together.

To the right of the JUSB1 and JUSB2 headers is another header.
JFP2.

To the right of the JFP2 header is a header that only has two pins.
JC11.

To the right of the JC11 header is the JFP1 header.

It is the last horizontal header, and is all the way to the right of the motherboard.
The JFP1 header is parallel to the outside edge of the motherboard.

There are two rows of pins.
Four across the top, then a blank space. (Or no pin)
Five across the bottom.

The pins going across the top of the JFP1 header are numbered Evenly.

Starting at the Left side going towards the right, the pins are numbered 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.
There is NO pin 10, however

The pins going across the bottom are numbered Odd.

Starting at the Left side going towards the right, the pins are numbered,
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

1) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power LED lamp.

2) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch

3) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED

4) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch

Emachine W3410,the main three wire from the motherboard to the power botton on and off switch was remove and iam not sure wish pin they go to .power led, power sw, H.D.D.led,

To the Right of the photo of the motherboard, you will see a gray bar with, BIOS, Driver, Utility, Manual, and RSS.
Left-click on Manual.

On the next page look under the heading to the right - Document.
Left-click on the blue - E7145v2.1.zip

On the final page click on the country nearest yours.
A small window will come up with the heading -
Opening E7145v2.1.zip

Be sure that Save File has a green dot, in the empty circle to the left.
[If not, Left-click on the empty circle to the left of Save File]
Now click on OK, below.

Where this file will go.
If you Do Not, have your documents set to save to your My Documents folder (Documents for Vista), the file will go to your desktop screen.

In either place Double-click on the file. Now go up to the left, and click on - Extract All Files.
Click on Next, and Finish.

You will now see a PDF icon. Double-click on this icon.
Go to Page 15.

The plastic panel on the front of your computer is the Front Panel.
This is where the Power On switch, Power On LED, and HDD LED are located.

The connector on the motherboard where the cables (Wires) attach to, is the Front Panel header.
The front panel header is a series of pins, sticking up out of the motherboard.

The MSI ms-7145 motherboard, (RS480M) has the Front Panel header separated into two headers.

JFP1, and JFP2

Looking at the motherboard with the Processor socket to the top, and the Ram Memory slots to the right, the JFP1, and JFP2 front panel headers are located at the extreme bottom Right, of the motherboard.

Now go to Page 38.
Page 38 shows the connections for the JFP1, and JFP2 headers.

The JFP1 header, and the JFP2 header, consists of two rows of pins in a horizontal column.
The pins are arranged parallel, to the bottom edge of the motherboard.

Right above the JFP1, and JFP2 header may be three pins, with two of the pins have a jumper. We will not concern ourselves with this jumper header (BIOS with Protect Jumper)

The JFP1, and JFP2 headers are close together. There is no separation in-between them.

The JFP2 header is for an internal speaker.
The JFP1 header is for the Front Panel cables.

The JFP1 header pins start from the right side of the motherboard, and go towards the left.

There are 5 pins across the Bottom. (Going from right to left)
There is NO pin, then there are 4 pins across the Top.
(Again, going from Right towards the left)

The top row of pins are numbered Evenly.
The bottom row of pins are numbered Odd.

Starting on the Right side, going towards the left for the Top row of pins, the pins are numbered,
10 (NO pin for 10), 8, 6, 4, and 2.

Starting on the Right side, going towards the left for the Bottom row of pins, the pins are numbered,
9, 7, 5, 3, and 1.

1) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED.

2) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch

3) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED

4) Pins 5 and 7 are used for a Reset switch. (If applicable)

The front 3mm port is disconnected and I don't know where to hook it back up. I can't tell from the manual.

The front 3mm ports are for mic input / headphones output. The pin connectors are as follows. You need to use the JAudio header, which are in the lower-right corner of the motherboard closest to the front of the case when it's installed.

This header has 14 pins, and allows user to connect the front audio out put cable with the PC front panel. It will disable the output on back panel audio connectors.
Within this header, pin 1 is in the lower left corner, and pin 14 is in the upper right corner, like this:

ASUSP4SD-VX Can not figure out how to configure plug for front USB panel to motherboard, when using this mothervoard in a generic case.

your motherboard only supports USB v1.1, make sure those are they type of connectors on your case, and if so, open this document and go to page 2-16 for diagram: http://dlcdnas.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4sdr-vm/e1104_p4sdr-vm.pdf

if the case only has USB v2.0 plugs, you cannot connect them.

Manual

I would like you to go here to Motherboards.org,

I would like you to click on Download.

You will see a small window come up. Click on the empty circle to the left of -> Save

Unless, you have your downloads going to your My Documents folder (Start>My Documents) this will wind up on your desktop screen. It will be a yellow folder icon with probably -> 5185v10.zip <- under it.

Double-click on the yellow folder icon. You will see 6 PDF files.
5185-1.pdf, 5185-2.pdf, and so on.
To open them and look at them, you double-click on each one, one at a time.
Then in the File Download window, you click on Open.

In 5185-2.pdf, it shows you the Front Panel header, and where the Front Panel wires go.
(Not trying to insult your intelligence. The Front Panel is where your Power On button is. The Front Panel header is on the motherboard. A connector on a motherboard, is referred to as a Header)

Should somehow you can't download this PDF Motherboard Manual, I will try to explain the connections on the Front Panel header. Bear with me.

Viewing the motherboard with the processor up at the top, ram memory to the right, the Front Panel header is on the bottom right. It is the JFP2 header.
(The motherboard manual, clearly shows this header as being the JFP2 header. Then it states it's the JFP1 header. Believe there was a misprint. You'll know)

It is situated lengthwise up and down, parallel to the right side of the motherboard, with two rows of pins.

The pins are numbered 1 through 20. There are spots where there are No pins. Where there is no pin, I will state -> No connect

Starting at the top on the left side, and coming down.
Pin 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, No connect, and 10.

Starting on the top right side, and coming down.
No connect, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, No connect, 2, and 1.

1.Pins 18 and 17 are for the Reset Switch
2.Pins 16 through 13 are for the internal speaker
3.Pins 12 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED.
4.Pins 10 and 1 are for the Keylock Switch
5.Pins 8 and 7 are for the Power On switch
6.Pins 6, 5, and 4, are for the Power LED
Pin 6 is the Positive connection, (+)

This motherboard uses an ATX 20-pin motherboard power connector.
It is at the top of the motherboard, and goes across lengthwise.
There are 20 socket holes.
Pin 1 is on the top left. It uses an Orange wire. (3.3 volts)
Pin 10 is all the way to the right. It uses a Yellow wire, (12 volts)

Need help on connecting up motherboard to rest of pc

I downloaded the PDF Motherboard Manual for the MSI MS-6380E Version 1.0, just now.

Let's take a look at that JFP1 header.
This view is looking at the JFP1 header, sitting at the bottom right of the motherboard, TO THE LEFT of the JFP2 header. The JFP2 header is at the very bottom right hand corner. The JFP1 header is just to the left of it. The processor is to the Top/Middle.


Looking at the pins going across the top of the JFP1 header, they are as follows,
2, 4, 6, 8, and there is no 10. There is no pin for 10.
Looking at the pins going across the bottom, they are as follows,
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Pins 6 & 8 are for the Power On switch.
Pins 2 & 4 are for the Power On light, (LED light)
Pins 1 & 3 are for the HarDDrive activity light.
Pins 5 & 7 are used for a Reset switch. (IF, you have one)

Should you not have the Motherboard Manual, go here,

On this page click on ->Download <- to the right of

When you do a small window will come up. Click on the empty circle to the left of -> Save.
This file will be saved either directly to your deswktop screen, or your My Documents folder. I don't know how you have your downloads set up to be saved. I save them to my My Documents folder.

Once you see this file, double-click on it. It's a WinRar file. There will be a Microsoft 'Squawk Box' that comes up. "Warning this publisher could not be verified, ya-da, ya-da"

Ignore it! Click on -> Run
Now the WinRAR extraction archive will come up.
Click on Run.

Now go to the PDF file and double-click on it.
There's your Motherboard Manual.

Need pinouts

I have an old pc chips M575 motherboard that also uses the J3 ATX Form card. I can only assume the pinouts are the same so here they are from the manual.

Pins 1-4 and 10- 13 are USB connectors
